己榮升爺爺的悟空，被大壞蛋畢拉夫利用終極黑星龍珠變回小孩，黑星龍珠四散宇宙。原來黑星龍珠如果在一年之內不被集齊的話，使用了龍珠的地球便會爆炸！為救地球，悟空於是聯同杜拉格斯，與及意外地闖入太空船的悟空外孫女BoBo，直闖太空找尋龍珠。

悟空的太空船於航行中，因機件發生故障而被逼降落神秘星球，太空船更被散人偷走。縱然悟空等龍珠戰士武功超卓，但遇上外太空各式各種神秘對手，再加上烏龍百出的BoBo，令他們往往陷於苦戰。

龍珠雷達被外星機械人吱吱吞下，原來吱吱可容合雷達，變成一個有能力找尋龍珠的龍珠雷達機械人，吱吱更成為悟空等龍珠戰士的好拍擋。但原來吱吱的出現並非偶然，而它的目的是悟空正在找尋的黑星龍珠。到底吱吱的真正身份是甚麼呢？悟空又能否順利找齊七龍珠，拯救地球與及令自己變回大人呢？
