A wonderful movie
| This is actually a moved to tears movie. I cried alot when I saw the trailer. I haven't seen the all but I think it's a wonderful movie. |

Very good arthouse movie

This independent Taiwanese film is based on a novel by Taiwanese intellectual and democracy activist Bo-Yang, produced by Taiwanese film veteran Lee Hsing, and directed by MTV director and winner of the Golden Horse Awards Best Short Film 2000 Chang Kuo-Fu. It tells of the story of a man who keeps dreaming of a woman and the scent of "dragon eye" congee, and returns to Taiwan where he finds the answer to his recurring dream in the form of a lady who he has loved in his previous life. This film starts out slow but is rewarding towards the end. Fann Wong from Singapore put in a very moving performance in the film as both a young woman, a mother and the daughter several years later. HK-born Shaun Tam (son of Ti Lung) puts in a decent performance. Kudos must go to the cinematography and the soundtrack - it contributes to the quality of the film. This is a very well-produced film and worth buying. |
