Student Teru Aoki (Tsumaboki Satoshi) is on his way back home from a class trip with his teachers and classmates when the bullet train they are riding derails in the middle of a tunnel. The crash kills everybody except for a handful of survivors. After a terrifying confrontation with the evil forces inside of the tunnel, the group finally escapes, but the terror that awaits them outside is even greater. Unaware of the forces that led to the destruction of their world, they struggle to survive in this strange and hostile environment.

Post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Dragon head is based on the same-named manga series, which was a staple in Weekly Young magazine from 1994 to 1999, captivating millions of Japanese readers with its intense storyline.

修学旅行帰りの高校生たちを乗せた上り新幹線が、静岡のトンネル内で原因不明の事故を起こし大破してしまう。乗客乗員のほとんどが即死した中、高校生の青木テルとクラスメイトの瀬戸アコ、そして高橋ノブオの3人だけが奇跡的に生き残り、トンネル内に閉じ込められたまま彼らは救助を待つことにする。しかし、元イジメられっ子のノブオが暗闇の恐怖から正気を失い、徐々に精神に異常を来たしてゆく。狂気に取りつかれたノブオから逃れるように、テルとアコは配水管を抜けて地上へと脱出するが、目の前には白い灰が降り積もる荒廃した大地が広がっていた。何が起こったのかさっぱりわからないまま、2人は東京を目指して歩き始めるのだが…。
過去にも「バタアシ金魚」や「鮫肌男と桃尻女」などが映画化されている望月峯太郎の同名人気コミックを原作に、「NIGHT HEAD」「アナザヘヴン」の飯田譲治監督が映画化したSFアドベンチャー。ある日突然崩壊した都市に取り残され、極限状況に直面する羽目に陥った若者たちの運命を、壮大なスケールの映像でロードムービー風に描いている。主演は、「ウォーターボーイズ」の妻夫木聡と長編映画初出演のSAYAKA。ウズベキスタンに作った東京ドーム6個分のオープンセットでオールロケが行なわれ、廃墟と化した日本をCGでリアルに映像化したスケール感たっぷりの映像は見ものである。

basically it is boring.
the plot is weak and there aren't enough dialogues to keep it interesting. some credits should be given to the art director though. the effects were great.
if you like something different, this should be for you.

This movie includes special effects on 3D, I like Real effect. And the story line still ok for me, but not my type. The story something like "THE DAY AFTER TOMMOROW", about disaster. For those who like this type of movie, you can enjoy it.

I watched this story with my friends. The first part of this story looks really interested but when I endure to see the end of it, I would say that it's really boring and disappoint. It's such a very long story and nothing in it. All of my friends said so. And one thing that I have notice is that in the video store that I rent there's not many people interested in this movie so there're a bunch of this DVD left on the shelf.

when i was in Japan, heard this movie was lame. Starts out ok, they run and run, and then supposely, it ends. Oh wow. But, i duno 4 sure. ANyways the theme song is really good! (misia, kokoro hitotsu)
