RTV (now ATV) was the source of numerous hit TV dramas in the 1970s and 1980s, including the classic wuxia drama Dragon Strikes. After the huge success of Reincarnated, the station followed up in 1979 with another popular period piece Dragon Strikes, again written by novelist Huang Ying and screenwriter Kong Lung. Choreographed by a team that includes Ching Siu Tung, the martial arts action put on screen in Dragon Strikes surpassed even that of Reincarnated. Set in the Ming Dynasty, Dragon Strikes follows swordsman Xiao Yiu Hau and the dangerous power struggle and tangle of corruption and conspiracies he encounters in the royal court and the martial arts world.
The drama stars Alex Man, Jason Pai Piao, Law Lok Lam, Candice Yu, and Nancy Sit.

Relative good movie
| Although an old movie, I find this very good and enjoyable to watch. There wasn't any faulty disk as I found that some of the ATV movies made by other companies are socking in quality. |

highly enjoyable
| great viewing typical of the series of this period, lots of colourful characters, solid acting, plots and sub plots. Even without the aid of of modern digital computer work which are suppose to make us believe than people can really fly? ...get real...the fighting scenes are more believable , more exciting with clever choreographed sequences , timing and camera works. |
