亦舒系列267 - 塔裏的六月
2009年8月31日 Not as Good as "德芬郡奶油..."There were some interesting details and stories here and there, but 亦舒 sort of lost focus in the big picture. I felt like reading several short stories in it. In the end, I didn't really know what my favorite author was trying to tell me. Was it a story about June and the male author her stepfather hired? Or, was it a story about her stepbrother's love for her? There were also the young doctor, the police officer, and even her stepfather, etc, etc....
My conclusion was: It was a story about a beautiful woman and her men; but 亦舒 didn't pull the story in the right place and didn't connect her different men together like her previous book "德芬郡奶油." She didn't write enough to describe June's feelings and emotions. We knew very little about June's background, personality, character, and that made it hard for her readers to feel for the protagonist. I know that 亦舒 is trying on some knew topic and style; and she should, after some two hundred books written. As 亦舒's reader, I'll wait patiently for her next book, a better one... -
2009年7月15日 Amusing...
I haven't seen a Hong Kong movie like this for a while. In recent years, most film makers tend to play it on the safe side, i.e. comedy or action movies. A quiet and amusing film like "Sparrow" is rarely seen. I like the movie's slow pace, it's necessary for a story like this. Pickpocket is not an honorable career. In fact, it's illegal, so they have to be very quiet, light motion, so the director set the movie in a very slow pace to match the undertone. The music arrangement was great, very poetic. The ending, in my opinion, was just right. It showed the 'pickpocket tycoon' cried because he cut Simon Yam while stealing the woman's passport, which was a no-no for pickpockets. He lost his pride for losing the game, so he kept his promise and let go of the woman. Great Ending! Two Thumbs Up!! -
2009年5月19日 Iris Chang, a remarkable author...
Iris Chang was well repected in Nanking (南京). She digged out the facts, interviewed with survivors, told us in a civilized and just manner, about what had really happened in Nanking, China in 1937, when the Japanese army marched in the once beautiful city. Ms. Chang suffered from a nervous breakdown in 2004 during her research for her 4th book in Lousville and passed away later. She was only 36 years old... -

Listening to Danny's songs and his unforgettable voice, I miss him so much! It's not that I love to live in the past, but I just can't find beautiful Cantonese songs and meaningful lyrics like those in the 80s. It was truly the golden years of Cantonese songs in Hong Kong... -
2009年3月9日 Bravo! Two Thumbs Up!
蘇永康 is a very good singer. Let me tell you what's the difference between Karaoke Singing and Good Singing. If you have a good voice, with some practice, you can probably be the Karaoke King or Queen within a short time. However, it's not singing. A good singer can use his/her voice to tell a story in a song, and a good singer can use the power of his/her voice to stir up emotions, and 蘇永康 is one of them. Well done, two thumbs up! -

2009年3月9日 Good Movie!There are many little stories here and there, and they're all closely weaved together with the main theme. This is a movie about a local Taiwanese love story, but you don't have to be a Taiwanese to understand and enjoy the movie. A good movie is universal, no boundary to anyone, and this is the magic of " 海角七號!" I truly enjoy watching the closely-knit community shown in the movie. They all have their own dreams, they all have different preference and different personalities, yet they help one another out in the end. I heard that most of the actors in this movie were ordinary people with no previous acting experience, and that showed how good the director was. I espcially like the little girl who plays the piano, she's so cool! -

2009年2月8日 Love...This is a love story. 亦舒 talks about women's attitude toward love nowadays. We fall in love often, and we fall out of love as often. We used to say men's love don't last long, but women's love don't last much longer these days either... This is an interesting story, and I like it very much! -

2009年1月9日 Joey...Joey's voice is among the best nowadays in Hong Kong. However, let me put it this way, she's still lack of the necessary passion to sing 鄧麗君's classics. If I could choose who to sing, 彭羚is my choice, if you have ever listened to her version of "我只在乎你," you'll know what I'm talking about. Another choice of artist is 王菲, but she's too cool to sing 鄧麗君's classics, her voice is close enough, but I can't feel the same emotion, the same 溫柔 and sweet tone of voice in it. Too bad 彭羚doesn't sing any more. .. -

2008年11月7日 Beautiful Voice...
林峰 sings better than I thought, and his voice is even better than I expected. Honestly, there are not too many new male singers in Hong Kong whose voice is good enough for us to call 'Singer' lately! Yes, all of them have good looks, good style, and good public relationship. However, I still believe a good voice, a good passionate voice is still what a good singer calls for. So, my dear 林峰, keep up your good work, don't disappoint us! -

2008年10月7日 Very Good!
When it comes to Hacken's concerts, I always buy the CD version first, because he always uses the best recording technology possible to record his concert. It's truly enjoyable, especially when I walk around the crowded New York City or commute on the noisy Subway cars.
Here's one little wish I have for Hacken: Please consider making a concert singing other artists' songs, I remember Sammi had one like that before, and it was so surprisingly good, so with Hacken's beautiful voice and the great musicians in this concert, making a concert like that would be another enjoyable event! -
2008年7月22日 A good read...
This is a typical immigrant family story, the story develops around a local dry cleaner owned by a Chinese family. The style is 亦舒's typical style, but more like her previous books written in late 90s, less depressing and less violent, with a rather hopeful happy ending...
P.S. "潔如新" is not 散文, it's 長篇小說 though! -

2008年5月30日 Excellent Concert!Sandy's concerts always surprise us, and this time is the most delightful among all! She showed her audience what a great concert was supposed be like. There was no non-stop costume changing, there was no fancy dancing; instead, Sandy brought us great stage design and lighting, excellent vocal, almost-perfect sound recording. Her choice of musicians were excellent, too! This concert was all about Music, a truly enjoyable event, two thumbs up!! -
劉德華 Wonderful World 香港演唱會2007 Karaoke Live (3DVD)
2008年5月5日 Great Show!劉德華 had never disappointed us! While I thought his last concert was great already, there came an even greater one. This concert really deserved the word "Wonderful!" I loved the 歌舞劇 in Disc 2; especially the female dancer acted as 織女, beautiful dancing! I was shocked when she was arranged to fall into the big hole; although everybody knew there was a safety net facilitated down below, it did create enough 'shock' for us to hold our breath! Last but not least, I have to metnion the two lovable creatures "Andox," they were so funny and cracked me up big time. Dear 華仔, Good Show! Two Thumbs Up!!
