KiRite (Japan Version)
August 13, 2009 Kirite: a story for the ears! The result of Yasunori Mitsuda and Masato Kato collaborating can only bring good to this world, right? Kirite is the soundtrack for, get this, a story written by Kato himself. This isn't a soundtrack for a video game, folks. However, just because you are Japanese-illiterate (like I am) does not mean you can't enjoy this album. After listening to the album, any doubts I had regarding the inability to enjoy this soundtrack was completely smashed and submerged within the tidal wave of Mitsuda's compositions.
It. Is. Amazing.
I'm not the kind of person who can easily throw three syllable words and use sophisticated language in describing music. However, as a fan of Mitsuda (enjoying Chrono Trigger OSV, Chrono Cross OST, and Sailing to the World), I can honestly say that you are 99% gonna love this album. Not understanding any bit of the story itself, you will still find yourself swept off your feet and into the canvas of your own imagination.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Sailing to the World (Japan Version)
December 6, 2007 A Yasunori Must-HaveWithout playing the game associated with this soundtrack, it took only one complete listen to be able to follow the story set by Yasunori Mitsuda's music. Every track does a great job anchoring the listener into the album's story, ending with the track Reincarnation.
Overall, I believe this album as a whole is greater than the sum of the individual tracks. If you a fan of Mitsuda's celtic infused tracks, then this album is a must have!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Minami Kaze / Moichido Kimi ni Aitai (Japan Version)
(1)Our Price: US$15.49Usually ships within 7 - 14 daysJune 4, 2007 Another smash hit by Mikuni! With three singles under the Full Metal Panic belt for Mikuni, Minami Kaze & Mou Ichido Kimi ni Aitai will sweep a breeze of fresh sounds to all fans of the series and artist alike.
Minami Kaze (South Wind) is a strong A-side track that is very uplifting and holds strong throughout the track without wanning in energy. This track definitely rivals "tomorrow" and is, dare I say it, better! I give this song an A+.
Mou Ichido Kimi ni Aitai takes things down a notch from the powerful Minami Kaze, bringing a ballad to this single. The best way to label this track is "sweet/heart warming." Though not as good as Minami Kaze, it is still an enjoyable track that will please all Mikuni & FMP fans alike. B+.
Overall, I love this single. It seems to mirror tomorrow/karenai hana in structure with an uplifting/powerful A-side track and a ballad for the B-side. Great job Mikuni and keep up the good work!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
