SE7EN 747 Concert DVD
January 7, 2008 Just screams: QUALITYWhen I first opened the box I almost fall down on floor laughing - the packing is so pretty and original, but it's so PINK xD. Anyways, I'm not a dedicated Se7en fan, I just appreciate his music and everything he does. It just associates with HQ in my mind. And I don't regret purchasing this item.
Se7en gave a spectacular performace. Sang all songs LIVE and just couldn't stop dancing. He's like a noble energizer bouncy bunny, LOL. Go Se7en! *waves a banner*
And I'm not that sulky because there are no subs, because I've seen GOE;SS are subbing all the extras. So yeah, it's a very good purchase even if you're not a Se7en's fan. The overall quality of the show and the footage is amazing ^___^Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Dong Bang Shin Ki - All About Dong Bang Shin Ki Season 2 DVD Region 3

I mean, it took me the whole day to watch the first season, and it was only 3 DVDs, now 5 and it's X___X. Nevertheless, sadly, I think that the first season was better, namely because they had a lot more activities back then. Now, come to think of it, in 2007, they did nothing in Korea, just had some concerts and that's all. I mean, compared with the period of 2004-2005 and its zeal promotion.
One of my biggest disappointents (despite which I still bought this either way SUPERB package), was that there are no X-man cuts, like it was in the first season DVD. I mean COME ON!! They had X-man Chosuk special last year with the whole bunch of celebs and DBSK and they didn't put that in, such a waste. T.T SM could clearly also buy rights for Heroine 6 and Golden Fishery epis from KBS and MBC. But then I'm thinking, they would need permission from other star management companies... but still! So many good shots from last year's variety shows and nothing on... At least could have thrown in some X-man, it's an SBS baby anyways...
The subs are also off in some places. I mean, my Korean is really poor, but even I understand that there are things left untranslated or translated differently. Sometimes I think that they should really hire fansubbing groups to do the job >.>'' Also I saw lots of people complaining about the poster being folded. Well, yesasia.com DID say that "this edition comes with a folded poster till supplies last", and I realize that complaining about it after the package has travelled across the world to my remote hut is basically useless. So yeah, AADBSK2 is definitely a must-purchase thing for die-hard fans and it's a nice addition to pretty box collection. However, if you're short on money or you can get HQ scans of cards and boxes... and if you're not a silly Cancerian hoarder like me... any other option?

2nd Live Tour -Five In the Black- (First Press Limited Edition)(Japan Version) DVD Region 2

I see this item became a little bit more expensive since I placed the pre-order back in August. I have to admit, I haven't watched the whole concert yet, but of course, it is amazing.
The turn downs of this is the fact that there's instrumental + LIVE singing, not LIVE band + LIVE singing, but I guess it's not with we're after here. Also, the DVD menu irks me a bit, otherwise it's an OK.
I really love the work of editors and cameramen. Honestly, Japanese directors of photography always seem to direct the shooting of the shows better than Koreans... The footage of DEAD END performance was simply breathtaking. Also, I watched the bonus DVD in one go. Despite my poor Japanese, I was able to enjoy it a lot. So, I guess, even though the lack of English subs is a pull back for international fans, we have to understand that initially it's for Japanese audience, therefore, no grudges made or left. After all, fan subs are gonna be out soon...
All in all, it's a definite purchase for TVXQ fans and YAY for Region 2!! ^___^ I can watch it onto my DVD player without changing the encoding. Sometimes living in Europe proves to be beneficial...Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

March 27, 2007 Better than any serenadeTRAX was my first Korean band ever and I'm glad that I've finally got their album. What I like most about this album, is that it never gets boring. The songs are well balanced and when you listen to it, you get a nostalgic feeling of something remote and sad yet kind and familiar.
To my mind, credits for 50% of album's mood go to Jay's voice. It just swoops over the listener and doesn't let go.
The feature tracks definitely are Cho Wu (Cold Rain), CRAZY and Paradox. I'm really glad the first single title song was included in this album.
The only reason why I give 9 and not 10 to this album, is that about half of the songs are covers. Even though the renditions are great, I'd love to hear more of the original work.
Otherwise, this album is really worth buying. It's fit to be played on your players everyday.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
