　　南宋年間，奸臣秦檜遂結黨營私，隻手遮天，令親者痛，仇者快。多名前朝元老有見及此，乃聚合民間資源，結合多名武林中奇能異士，組成“豪俠”，希望利用民間財力與秦檜對抗，但第一筆鉅款，在托運時竟然失蹤。而押運鉅款的“豪俠”中人，更全數遇害。
六扇門神捕閻鐵心曾擒獲奸人惡賊無數，卻突然辭官。遂有謠言指他與鉅款失竊案有關。鐵心本來對這些謠言不放在心上，我行我素過自己喜歡的生活。但後來閻鐵心得悉，他唯一的徒弟在運送鉅款時遇害，便毅然鐵肩擔道義，成為“豪俠”首領。他物色了多名江湖奇人： “殺手之王”平常，“玉女神醫”扁素問，“飛賊”風一陣，“女騙神”樂千千，“俠妓”鳳來儀，加上富家子謝家麒和曾向西域巧匠學藝的 “大發明家”東郭仁，招至麾下，號稱“八大豪俠”，偵破此案，尋回鉅款。
八名各懷絕藝的俠客，在半壁河山淪喪之際，毅然接受“不可能完成的任務”……
