House Of Flying Daggers (DTS Version)
January 8, 2005 Nice cinematographyI like the way they shot this film. Picturesque scenes. Great fighting choreography. Zhang ZiYi is gorgeous as usual. The story and ending is questionable. A love triange with an ending that was cut short. Still an ok movie though. -T18-E.L. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
The Phone (Hong Kong Version)
January 8, 2005 AnyonghaseyoThis movie has basically the same theme as The Ring, The Ghost and Darkwater. Instead of a watery grave it is between 2x4s and bricks. It is an ok movie. -T18-E.L. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

January 26, 2002 Excellent
I don't know too much about foreign films, but I can say tht I have seen enough to comment that this was excellent. If you like the anime Rurouni Kenshin and Ninja Scroll then this movie has a few elements of both. The fight scenes were good, but I'd like to see more weapon contact, blood and gore. Not that I get off on those things, but enough to show the reality of a blade hitting flesh like the movies Gladiator, Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan. Great Kenshin type finishing moves and Ninja Scroll type roof invasion. The story line, special effects and ending was ok, not to mention that Hee Sun Kim is gorgeous. This film would be for the romantics and for the die hard sword fan, but don't take my word for it. -T18-E.L. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
