This is one of the worst Korean drama ever. I cannot understand why such a big production could be so poor. It is boring from beginning to finish but only just saved by the last two epistles that led to a not too disappointed ending.

worst drama ever made Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
Nobody likes pirates but in this drama, you'll rather be sympathetic towards the pirates because Goong Bok is so disgustingly annoying. Unfortunately he is like a cat that has 9 lives, you just couldn't rid of him. Madame Yami saved him and Jeong Hwa but they both betrayed her. The series is desperately boring to the lowest point but apart from the extremely poor story, the fault lies entirely with the miscast of Goong Bok. He was so stupidly errogant and they made it worst by pairing him with the incredibly tall Yon who likes to shout all the time. I fell asleep numerous times and struggled through the series I had never done before with any Korean dramas. The most wicked thing Goong Bok did was to brand Yum Moon and sent him to slave to death. He was so evil to think of such revenge. All in all, I will never buy another drama by Choi.

I have seen this drama a long time ago but the story is still in my head.....because it is the best.

After watching this one, i started to watch epic such as Jewel, Potato Boy...etc but this one is still the best. Wonderful....

This was the first korean movie that I saw and I fell in love with this movie. I fell in love with choi su jung the moment I saw him. He's my favorite korean actor in this whole world He was great the entire cast was great. This movie had a lot of action and it make you cry so much your heart ache. The villians was great also especially Yeom Yang Tbecause he last couple of episodes was sad that is the part that made you cry the most.This is a movie that you can watch over and over and over again. I had to buy this movie because i loved it so much. They had so many georgeous actors in there you did know who you want to be your favorite. Unfortunately for me my favorite is choi su jung who play jang bo go buy this movie you won't regret it you will be so happy knowing that you have this movie in your library because it is not an easy movie to get.

Emperor of the Sea is absolutely the best series I have ever encountered. The OST was superb! The story was brilliant!
The actors all deserve Emmy awards! My favorite actor was the evil Madam Jami, she had so many facial expressions for every type of scenario, and her wardrobe& hairstyles were outrageous but interesting.

I have watched the pc version of this drama thankfully with English subtitles otherwise it will be very difficult to understand the traditional level of the language. The acting of both male leads are very good. I am waiting a version of this drama with English subtitles to be available as I have taken a fancy to Song Il Kook after watching Jumong.

I am from turkey and my life has changed with this drama and ı want it with turkish subtitle or turkish dubbing but it is impossible says the publisher.then ı want this english subtitle dama please print this drama again and the other vols of it.ı beg you

Story about struggle and becoming successful..just like corporate and business life. Never give up. Although along story, it shows how greed, cunning personality and trust , including love, can affect the world around us. Good for business people and corporate junkies...watch this.

This was really spectacular series, I am Asian
polynesian, do not speak Korean, my ancestor is
chinese, but just love this wonderful story. There
is so much passion, love and triumph but yet, there
are no body parts showing. That's whats great acting
is, that you can cry tears and with so much excitement
I can't wait to find out what happened to Miss Jiwa wa
and the baby, as well as the young Emperor. It is
one of the Fantastic Drama, and am looking forward
for any future parts to this story. I also am going
to own all parts of the sub title great wonderful
epic.
