Esteemed actress Chae Si Ra (Emperor of the Sea, Eyes of Dawn) stars as Korean history's Iron Empress in the popular KBS period drama Empress Chun Chu. This epic biopic follows the heroic life and times of the Goryeo Dynasty's third empress who fought in battle against Manchurian tribes in hopes of winning back her kingdom's lost lands. Breakout actress Kim So Eun from Boys Over Flowers plays young Chun Chu. The drama's impressive cast also includes Kim Suk Hoon (Blissful Woman), Choi Jae Sung (The Immortal Lee Soon Shin), and Lee Duk Hwa (Dae Jo Yeong).
Supervised by music director Lee Chang Hee, the Empress Chun Chu OST opens with the monumental theme song Cheonchu Byeolgok performed by world-class soprano Shin Young Ok. She is joined on the soundtrack by other great vocal talents like Kim Moon Young and baritone Kim Ju Taek, as well as a moving selection of grand score instrumentals.
