| Jang Kyeong Ah (Actor)
| Lee Jong Yong (Director)
The fifth film in the Whispering Corridors series of horror films set at all girls' high schools, the 2009 horror suspense A Blood Pledge revolves around four schoolgirls who make a suicide pact together. The first feature from director Lee Jong Yong, who previously worked under Park Chan Wook on JSA and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, A Blood Pledge unravels a bloodcurdling tale of friendship gone wrong, slowly revealing the dynamics of jealousy, betrayal, and paranoia that build to gruesome, ghostly consequences. The Whispering Corridors films have launched the careers of many well-known actresses including Kim Min Sun, Kim Ok Bin, Kim Kyu Ri, Seo Ji Hye, and Choi Kang Hee. This time the spotlight goes to five up-and-coming young actresses - Son Eun Seo, Jang Kyeong Ah, Song Min Jeong, Oh Yeon Seo, and Yoo Shin Ae - who just may be Korean Cinema's next big stars. Whispers and rumors spread quickly through an all girls high school when student Eon Joo (Jang Kyeong Ah) jump to her death from the school's rooftop. Eon Joo's younger sister Jeong Eon (Yoo Shin Ae) investigates the cause behind her sister's suspicious death. Chaw (DVD) (2-Disc) (Korea Version) DVD Region 3
Uhm Tae Woong (Actor)
| Jung Yoo Mi (Actor)
| Shin Jung Won (Director)
There's a new Korean monster movie in town, and boy does it have bite! Directed by Shin Jung Won (Sisily 2km), the blockbuster thriller Chaw is about a mutant killer boar terrorizing a small village, and the ragtag team of five that sets out to stop the beast. Uhm Tae Woong (Forever the Moment) and Jung Yoo Mi (Family Ties) lead the cast of this unlikely but oh-so-entertaining feature that mixes horror and adventure with a healthy dose of camp and black comedy. Shock and fear wash over the quiet, peaceful town of Sameri when ecologist (Soo Ryeon) discovers the body parts of a girl in the mountains. Officer Kim Kang Su (Uhm Tae Woong), newly transferred from Seoul, gets assigned to the case, but it soon transpires this is no ordinary homicide. Cheon Il Man (Jang Hang Seon), the victim's grandfather, is convinced that the culprit is a giant man-eating boar, and more will be claimed if the beast isn't taken down. Kim's own mother has gone missing, and may have already fallen victim. All interested in capturing the boar for reasons of their own, Kim, Cheon, Soo Ryeon, opportunistic hunter Baek (Yoon Je Moon), and detective Shin (Park Hyuk Kwon) head into the dangerous wilds, but will they make it back out alive?

Five Senses of Eros (DVD) (2-Disc) (First Press Limited Edition) (Korea Version) DVD Region 3
Uhm Jung Hwa (Actor)
| Kim Min Sun (Actor)
| Bae Jong Ok (Actor)
| Kim Su Ro (Actor)
Five Korean directors muse about sensuality and sexuality in the low-key anthology Five Senses of Eros. The collection consists of five very different shorts written and directed by Hur Jin Ho (Happiness), Daniel Byun (The Scarlet Letter), Min Kyu Dong (Antique), Yu Young Sik (Anarchist), and Oh Ki Hwan (The Art of Seduction). Covering comedy, melodrama, fantasy, and teen drama, the omnibus boasts a who's who's lineup of top and rising stars, including Jang Hyuk (Volcano High), Cha Hyun Jung (Lovers of Six Years), Kim Kang Woo (Le Grand Chef), Cha Soo Yeon (Beautiful), Kim Min Sun (Portrait of a Beauty), Bae Jong Ok (Herb), Kim Su Ro (Our School E.T), Hwang Jung Ming (Private Eye), Uhm Jung Hwa (Insadong Scandal), Kim Hyo Jin (Mr. Wacky), Kim Dong Wook (Antique), Shin Se Kyung (Cinderella), and Jung Eui Chul (Do-Re-Mi-Pa-Sol-Ra-Si-Do). Daniel Byun's snazzy urban romance "His Concern" reveals the psyche and lifestyle of a single man (Jang Hyuk) as he carefully prepares the perfect first date with a beautiful woman (Cha Hyun Jung) he met serendipitiously on a train during a business trip. Hur Jin Ho makes good on his genre with "I'm Right Here", a gentle, poetic story about a husband (Kim Kang Woo) and his terminally ill wife's (Cha Soo Yeon) game of hide-and-seek, with some fantasy elements thrown in. Yu Young Sik's sex comedy "I'm 33rd Man" takes things over the top with the hilarious power struggle between a femme fatale (Bae Jong Ok) and a girl next door (Kim Min Sun) who are fighting over a clueless guy (Kim Su Ro).
In Min Kyu Dong's "La Fin et le debut", a woman (Uhm Jung Hwa) is left alone and heartbroken after her cheating husband (Hwang Jung Min) and friend (Kim Hyo Jin) die in a car accident. Her friend magically appears asking for her forgiveness, and the two begin to live together. Oh Ki Hwan's "Have Faith in the Moment" presses buttons with three high school couples who decide to swap partners for one day.
Comes with director's commentary, trailer, and other extras.
