Screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Film Festival, End of Love is the latest film from independent filmmaker Simon Chung (Innocent). Using a cast of mostly new faces including Lee Chi Kin, Guthrie Yip, and Ben Yeung, the film tells a poignant story of deception and betrayal in love while painting a realistic picture of life in the homosexual circle in Hong Kong.
The story of End of Love revolves around Ming (Lee Chi Kin), a rebellious young man whose life hit rock bottom when his mother committed suicide after finding out that he is gay. He desperately tries to bury the guilt in a life of drug and sex, much to the chagrin of his boyfriend, who calls the authorities in an attempt to pull him out of his nightmare. Ming is sent to a Christian rehab center where he meets an ex-inmate, and the two engage in an ambiguous relationship...
The Hong Kong Version Blu-ray comes with a short film from the director plus cast and crew interviews.
