totally. brilliant. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This was my 2nd Epik High purchase after the epic album that was Pieces, Part One, and it is almost as amazing. I only say almost because it's less than half of long, unfair really since it's an EP. But whatever!

Every song is a complex, layered tribute to - guess what? Love and relationships, duh. As an album by a hip-hop group seemingly in their shoegazey electronic phase you don't get much surprises, but there is still plenty enough variety to go around. And it doesn't matter anyway, because the songs are excellent.

"Butterfly Effect" starts it off with soft synth pads, echoey breaths and subdued percussion. Tablo soon breaks out into a short English rap (sounding bitter and jaded as usual) before a simple piano line and synth melody takes it to the end. Pretty, pretty song.

And the next one is even prettier! Lovely strings, subdued piano, Mithra Jin and Tablo trading verses full of imagery, and the incredibly sweet-voiced Jo Yejin (of Lucite Tokki) singing the chorus and the particularly beautiful bridge. "Fallin'" is easily up there with my most favourite songs.

"Harajuku Days" is a short instrumental break that continues the mood, just piano drums bass and some humming, before "습관" starts. Featuring Ha Dong Kyun from Wanted, the song blends his vocals (very soulful) with a laidback arrangement, which again is anchored by a simple piano melody. Very piano-driven, this EP.

Next up is another instrumental piece, "쉿". Which is 'shh', really. Fits the song - quiet, moody, and to the point. Two minutes of reflection later, you're at the centrepiece of this EP, the brilliant "1분 1초". The song is an elegant cry of despair of sorts, a song about not being able to forget and let go. The two rappers do a great job alternating between softer more introspective verses and harder-hitting lines, but all their efforts are outshined by Taru (my favourite singer!!!) and her clear, angelic vocals in the chorus and finale. Simply put, this song is a distillation of what Epik High can do so well, combining simple but hooky melodies, vivid but relatable lyrics, and fantastic delivery from everyone.

"1825 (Paper Cranes)" closes it off nicely with Mithra Jin rapping over piano, and that's it. Short, but brilliant, that's what this EP is. Buy this now. Also, use good headphones. They make SUCH a difference.

A Love Novel! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I ordered this CD a while ago and it is totally worth the wait. There are only seven tracks in this CD and they read like a novel. I don't understand Korean, but luckily half the Lyrics are in English. By conjecture and guessing, I think that this CD conveys someone in love despair and still carries hope. My favorite tracks are the beginning track, Butterfly Effect and Track 4. I think that Epik High is literally talented as they are musically. They write lyrics that has depth. In Butterfly Effect, the English lyrics is short but philosophical written. It rhymed nicely and at the same time describing the dilapidated human conditions.
Musically, Butterfly Effect gives off a mystical and atmospheric beginning like some of Gackt's music with the adding of very soft human breathing sounds. I also like the ending which is totally music. When emotional suffering in love, there is no one better than Ha Dong Kyung, one of my top favorite singers to sing the jazzy part in Track 4. He is not perfect, but close. Listen to the fusion of jazzy and hip-hop. It's amazing!
I think Epik High spent a lot of effort on this CD. I like to compliment the designer and photographer as well because their art works are excellent.
You should explore this CD yourself because I haven't described the other tracks yet. I can tell you that Tracks 2, 3 & 7 are 4 stars and Track 6 is a three stars. So, go find out! I wish continuing success to Epik High!:)

Might be better than DBSK Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought Mirotic and Lovescream at the same time. I have to say that both albums are phenomenal.
Epik High really knows how to grasp their audience and give them a quality time with their music. The opening some was extremely moving and made me move with the piano. My favorite song was the sixth track. Really, all of Epik High's hits have a female singing in the background. I enjoyed this pleasant album.

Epik High never disappoints... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Epik High is one of those groups that NEVER seems to disappoint me. This album is no exception. Whenever anything of theirs is released, I do not hesitate to buy it. The music is simply amazing. "1 Minute, 1 Second" is a masterpiece and the MV is amazing. I recommend people to watch it.

This single seems to portray the artistic side of Epik High within a mere seven songs. As a Graphic Design Major (Artist), this album inspires me and I listen to it while I create charcoal and pencil drawings outside. I look at the world differently with this album playing.

I recommend this to any Epik High fan or any poets, artists, or musicians. This single is an inspiration.

Phenomenal~ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I am expecting this mini-album to be (excuse the pun) EPIC. But I'm a little disappointed to see that for 12.99 it doesn't even include a photobook :[ In any case, after watching all the teaser trailers, I'm eagerly waiting for Lovescream to be released~
