Epik High is the ish...
| I like Epik High. Like another reviewer, I was introduced to this group by a song by Rain called "My Groove". That song was so cool that I had to further check them out and I am glad I did. I have seen Epik High live in concert twice, along with other artists like Se7en, DJ DOC, Kang Ta, Lee Hyori, Lee Soo Young, Chae Yeon, and some others. Epik High has a lot of energy to them. My favorite song by them is Fly. I first heard that song when they sang it live in LA at a concert I was at. It was great. They are really cool guys. I hope they go far. Their English is really good too. I heard one of the guys do a whole verse in English once and it was really impressive. No accents or anything. Anyway that's not the point. Don't miss out on Epik High, they are cool. They are not super hip-hop, although others say they used to be. Not now, as far as I know. They are cool, though, and that's all that matters. Buy this CD!!! You will be glad you did. |

It's a mood changer, not a player all-dayer

Epik High, hiphop crew for vocal/rap-centred music. Band member Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz participated in project-X OST and older CB MASS albums. Collaborated with non-hiphop Brown Eyed Souls Ku Yung Joon, Alex from Clazziquai and others, their experimental styles is enriched with different elements...not as underground as they once were. While rhythm and beats are playfully mixed with the vocals, there is a profound lack of melody. If they (or their producers) work a little harder on the melody, and sing a song without their band name mentioned, they can go way further. Yes every song on the album, epik high is on the lyrics! It is a good album for a change of mood. Not great for playing over and over and over again. Favourite tracks 04. Fly 10. Paris 11. Let it Rain :hinting |

i'm a massive fan of any Kpop or Jpop music and this album was on my xmas list after i heard this amazing group on Rain's song, 'My Groove'. As soo as i heard the opening i knew it would be a fab album...and i'm very pleased to say that i was right! IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on every song you can tell they have worked hard on it, which is an excellent sign of pure musicianship :D i'm not being totally 'lovable' for this album, i like every track! But my favourites have to be: Fly Paris Let it Rain simply because they could be huge if they wanted to! I'm sooooooooo excited for their next album and i can't wait for it to come out! Epik High aren't just one of the best Kpop/rap bands around, they're one of the best bands EVER!! Buy it- its such a mixture of tunes, beats and rhymes. Pure Genius... |

All I can Say...
|
I almost started to worry that Korean music industry will be dominated by one kind of genre before I found Epik High. I was almost afraid that the handful of awesome song writers that Korea has would be influenced by the same old lyrics. However, in Epik High I found meaningful songs that flows beautifully. I used to hate hip-hop because I felt like it lost a lot in essense and was molded in to what the "moneymakers" wanted it to sound like. Epik High's lyrics are suprisingly profound and colorful. There's always some kind of a variety. But you do noticed something else. They don't talk about a rich guy with all the beautiful girls and awesome cars. They don't talk about how tough their neighborhood was. They don't talk about pretty people hooking up in the club. They talk about ordinary people and ordinary events in ordinary lives. They bring in surprising insights to what many would consider to be too "boring" to write about. The variety would make the album appeal to many people. I have some tracks I really love and some I don't care much for. But when you listen to it, you should really listen. There were a couple of song I came to like a little bit later. |

Simply Great
| This cd is and has to be the best they have made yet. Yeah they only have 3 albums out but this one blows the others out of the park. The sweet soothing sounds of a mix a Hip-Hop, Jazz, and other great sounding tunes, all these tracks give u there hearts and souls and what they speak. As you listen to the Intro you get a feeling of how the albums gonna be from the sound of the Instrumental, then as it fades into Yesterday (A spinoff of the old classic) you know the songs gonna be good. These tracks have all there own style and make you want to listen to them over and over. This has to be my top cd on my list of all my music and I have quite a collection of japanese, chinese, and korean. This one is #1. My personal favorite tracks are Fly, Paris (Best one on the cd) Let It Rain, Follow The Flow, Swan Song, and Elements. This album is a must for all Epik High fans. This albums Simply Great not So So. GO GET IT! |

Decent CD, rap fans will enjoy
| This cd was like their other 2 cds, very addicting. There were like 3 or 4 songs that were just so so but the rest was really good. Lyrics and beats flow and very good transition, especially follow the flow. Songs like let it rain and lesson 3 and fly were also good. They continue to surprise me with their talents. really really cool scratches and mixing. tite! |

hiphop with various taste
|
i have no interest in epik high until i got the swan song album. sure, their 'i remember' is catchy, but not that great. but i think they really outdid themselves with their third album. this excellent piece feature them collaborating with other korean musician from various genre, bringing hiphop to a new different level. if you're not blown away by the 'sky', -their collab with seoulciety's Amin J-, then check out 'follow the flow' (feat MYK and D-tox), 'let it rain' (feat Kim Jung-won of Nell), and 'paris' (feat Jisun of Loveholic) |

Good album, but...
| It really wasn't that great. As with the previous albums, there were about 4-5 songs which I skipped to every time I listened to this CD after the first time through the whole CD. Maybe it's because of my own tastes, but it's clear that you're going to be listening to songs like Lesson 3, Fly, Follow the Flow, and Bone Us Elements more than the other, much slower songs. I'm not saying that the other songs were necessarily bad, but they weren't what I was looking for in a hip-hop album. On the other hand, the songs that were favorable were nothing short of perfection. I must say, even with it's few flaws, this album was better than the first two. So if you liked Epik High's first and second album, this is a must have. |
