Based on a Qiong Yao novel, the 1981 Taiwan romance Errant Love is a classic melodrama of chance encounters and brooding heartache starring Kenny Bee and Lu Hsiu Ling. Directed by Liu Li Li, who also helmed the Qiong Yao adaptations Courtyard Deeply, Yan Yu Meng Meng, and Ji Du Xi Yang Hong, the feature film adaptation of Errant Love came right on the footsteps of the novel which was published in 1980. Lu Hsiu Ling and Kenny Bee, who also starred together in the Qiong Yao adaptation My Cape of Many Dreams in the same year, play a handsome bachelor and young widow who fall in love, but circumstances make it difficult for them be together.

About the songs of this film
| I love this film so much and especially the songs, I saw it many times since the movies was at cinemas, but till now I still love to watch it, it's very romantic and very touch the heart, it's really very best romance film all the time. And i almost try to listen many times for all the songs of the film, but I really wish to buy CD for this movie errant love caue I love the song very much can I buy it ? |

Ideal hopeless romantic movie
| If you're a hopeless romantic, I truly recommend this movie. I fell in love with the story and the characters the first time I watched this movie....of course I was only 6 or 7 yrs old at the time, but watching it again, the feelings still have not changed. I really love this movie. |

Speechless
| This is a great movie. THe only reason i got to watch it was, my boyfriend played me the song. And it really touched me. Then he told me to watch the movie, and i did. And it's a strange kinda love. So that was interesting. I recommend this movie! |
