Beautiful! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Yes! Only one word to describe this album. Beautiful. Though yeah, sadness is often felt when you listen to this album. But still it's worth it!

Eternal Melody Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The first time I listened to the track, Kimi Dake Dakara, I felt this incredible sadness. The song intertwines Yoshiki's recurring theme of sad melody with the lively Bach influenced music which is full of hope. The composition is not perfect, but outstanding and you get to appreciate his root in classical training. To me, this song represents Yoshiki's definition of Eternal Melody. It is sadness, beauty and eternal hope. It will give you a good cry if you are in a sad mood and of course you have to like Bach and Yoshiki.

A GREAT MUSICIAN!............. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This CD makes me understand why the legendary x-japan was and still is so popular. The group leader, Yoshiki, in my opinion is not only a first rate pianist and drummer (?), but a great composer as well. Listening to I'LL BE YOUR LOVE makes me want to tear again and the Bach influenced harpsichord music in Kimi Dake Dakara is full of life. (It also helps that Bach is my favorite composer.) The grant finally, the "Anniversary" Piano Concert in C minor is Yoshiki's version of his symphony incorporating the best from his classical training with influences from the composers mentioned by all the previous reviewers, adding his own version of music that to me is heart felt and touching. You can find the recurring theme of his music all through out in the three tracks that I have mentioned here. The way that Yoshiki was able to bring emotional climatic changes in his music is amazing, so dramatic and soothing. It is music from his SOUL and his passion that makes it so moving.

I agree with the previous reviewer that the CD have some commercial and popular music elements in it. I usually don't like instrumental music, but I recommend getting this CD to see what a great and clever composer Yoshiki is, if you are x-japan's fan which I'm and very much so.

And here's to Yoshiki: I wish you good health and speedy recovery from your injury and all the best!

Bravo!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a great album. Quite a big transformation of Yoshiki's Rock music to Classical music. Although It stated on the cover that it is "a classical album by Yoshiki", it is not so "class" and still a bit commercially composed/arranged so that most of the people can still accept it. In addition, there is a hidden track in Disc I, which is a very touching song, it sounds to touch your heart, make your tears rolling in your eyes. If you like modern classical/sentimental instrumental music/X-Japan's Song/Yoshiki's composition & his piano performance, You definitely won't be regret buying it.

Great Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Seriously, this music will make you melt. I felt like crying when I listen to each song... It really touches people alot. The music and arrangements are perfect. It's not because I'm a X-Japan fan that I bought this, it's because of Yoshiki's talent. You'll really regret it if you don't buy this.

Worth the wait. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This record should be titled 'Beautiful - the Album'. The sheer poetry of every piece is excruciating. I'm a regular fan of classical composers, and I love what Yoshiki does in melding the pop/rock and classical worlds. Beethoven fans? Buy this. Fans of cinematic soundtracks? You'll drool. Tchaikovsky lovers? Yoshiki is your new favourite composer. He speaks to everyone. Highlights include the purity of 'Unnamed Song', the baroque-ish harpsichord sound of 'Kimi dake dakara', and the original piano concerto 'Anniversary', which belongs right beside a composition by any 19th century music mogul. Yoshiki may be a perfectionist, but he definitely knows what he's doing.

In memory of hide Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Bought it without high expectation, after all its classical which is less preferable than Rock for me. But many songs in EM II are really fantastic, esp. Anniversary. A must buy for X fans, tho very expensive....
