I got this for Christmas and i now its one of my favorite Rain albums. Its got great catchy songs like Sad Tango(my personal fav) and Baby Baby. And slower songs like Move on and Because of you.Comes with a DVD showing a photoshoot for the album,an interview, and clips of his Japanese concerts (down side though is theres no Eng subs. Its also a region 2 but works great on computers)The t-shirt that came with it was nice (with Rains pic (black and white) and saying Eternal Rain and on the back it says Eternally Yours is i'd say its about an XL or Mens Small and makes a great around the house shirt(thats just me though :) ) Anyways i highly recommend this item for all Rain fans! :) |

Wow. I loved this album even though this was Bi's first japanese album. Se7en also came out with his first japanese album around the same time and i thought his was excellent as well. Both came out with great albums and i hope they'll make more in the future. My favorite song on this album is Baby Baby, No. 7, and Without You. ^_^ |

Rain's Japanese album, titled "Eternal Rain", is a good album. The song that first caught my attention was a song called Freeway. It's the first song on this album, and very fun and catchy. Oh Yeah has a cool beat that you can groove to in the club. A plus is that it features AI. Sad Tango, at this time, is not a song that I'm too crazy about right now. Neither the Japanese or the English version. It's overrated, and mediocre, in my opinion. The next song, I remember from his fourth Korean album and it's called Move On. Although I prefer the Korean version, simply because I can understand it better, and it sounds better, the Japanese version is not bad. Baby Baby. OMG. Best song on the whole album. I'm into the upbeat scene and I love when Rain comes with beats like this. I always have this song on repeat. I never get past this song, but I had to in order to write this review. "Do you feel, for this like me?" Great beat. Think Whisper Song meets Buy You A Drank. That's how it sounds to me. Feel so right is reminiscent of a Neptunes beat. It's chill, and upbeat at the same time. I like this song. I like the way Rain sings this song. That Sexy, Sweaty-in-the-club vibe. The next song "Burning" is a Korean song(a plus for me). Nice mellow club beat again, kind of similar to the previous track. The following track, Without You is a nice song. The beat is nice, the tune is nice, and it's well sung by Rain. This song goes almost at the same pace as the previous two tracks. Because of You is a slow jam song. Also in Korean. I like. Maybe it will be featured in his next Korean album. Props in My Life is a nice song as well. Rain usually has songs like this included in his K-albums when approaching the end of the album (ex: Friends, To You, etc.) This is one of those songs. Japanese, of course. Rain sings beautifully in this song. Also recommend this song to be a Korean song. Now, in my opinion, the album maybe should end here, but noooooooo... It continues to the English Version of Sad Tango. Horrible idea. Everything is wrong with this song. However, the next and final song, Freeway~STY Gin n' Toxic Remix~ is good. It's refreshing, from everything else that's on the album, and kind of makes you forget that horrible English version of Sad Tango. This version of Freeway, to me, is just as good as the original. Overall, this album from me gets 9 out of 10, 4.5 stars, and a thumbs up. The reason it doesn't get past the 9 is because of the lack of trying something different, and the Sad Tangos. Maybe they need to grow on me, but I hate both of them. Rain still has the ability to be consistent, but he hasn't really gone beyond that. Another consistent work from Rain. I personally would've liked to see Rain step out of his R&B bounds and into the world of Jpop, or at least combine the two. Kind of like Se7en did. It was a great move for him, and I believe it could be good for Rain. Surprise me. Still, this album is worth every penny, considering I like 10 out of 12 tracks. I would recommend this album to anyone that would want to listen. Go Rain! |

Pi Totally Rocks!

| I'm a major Pi/Bi/Rain fan. I have every single song he's ever done and I was waiting for his first Japanese album. I was afraid he would do what Seven did, and go JPOP on me, but HE DIDN'T! This is an amazing R&B album! I love every song, except Sad Tango in English. My faves are Oh Yeah (I love AI, too), Move On (sweet slow jam, hot video), Baby Baby (can't keep still when I hear this one, got to dance, even in the car ^_^), Track 7 (no romanization), and Because of You (Korean slow jam). I wish the DVD had some music videos, but the clips of concerts in Japan are pretty hot. One is when he sings Nan minus a shirt and plus a mini-rainstorm, which equals total hotness. My tv almost exploded. ^_^ GO PI! GO PI! |

Forgot to mention in my previous review, Tracks 07 & 09 are actually Korean songs. Oh, and the limited dvd + t-shirt edition is very limited to 10,000 copies (considering Rain's fan base, this is a very minute number), so grab it while you can. =] =] =] =] =] |

Rain's English is actually pretty good. His pronunciation is quite accurate for a non-English speaker, but English lyrics just doesn't suit the song Sad Tango. Maybe it's just me..I might just be very used to the original Japanese version, but I really find the English version a little 'not quite right'. Besides that, the rest of the tracks on the cd are great, especially Move On, it's such a nice song. It would've been good if the dvd included the PVs from his 3 singles, but it's still good. No English subtitles by the way, Japanese Only. The T-Shirt has a black&white print of one of the cd cover variations of his 3rd single Move On. Rain's first movie, 'I'm a Cyborg, but it's Ok', still in production, but do keep your eyes and ears open for more news!! Can't wait for his 4th Korean album, coming soon. It should be great. Rain >> Excellence =] =] =] |
