MAX hasn't lost anything
With the departure of Minako Ameku, I was worried where MAX would go next. However, the group is still producing high quality music. Eternal white is a great first hit song ( much like their previous hit Always Love - but with a little latin rhythm to it ). The other song, Another Truth is much better - more of a dance groove ( think MAX's Feel So Right mixed with music by MOVE ). This is a must for anyone who liked MAX's last two albums. |

Love the music, hate the "security" feature
As a long time MAX fan, I had strong reservations about what MAX would sound like with the departure of Ameku Minako-san. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a try since this would either be the future of MAX or show that they had no future at all. I was very pleasantly surprised!!! While in the MAX of old, voices were distinct and I would commonly try to pick out who was singing in different parts, I find that the ensemble has the effect of harmonizing together much more closely. The overall impression plays very well, and, while I was dubious at first, I must say that Aki Maeda-san makes an excellent addition to MAX. I look forward to many more years of MAX! I pre-ordered the CD, so the disclaimer about the security feature was not listed at the time of my order. In short, I hate it. On the bright side, if you are using a Macintosh and running MacOS X 10.2 or greater, you can actually play the CD. I was able to play it without any trouble. Importing it into iTunes is another matter entirely. |
