Everlasting Regret Movie Soundtrack (OST)

Everlasting Regret, directed by Stanley Kwan and starring canto-pop superstar Sammi Cheng, was the only Chinese film in competition for the Golden Lion award at the 62th Venice Film Festival. Apart from taking up the female lead in the film, Sammi Cheng also sings the theme song, also titled "Everlasting Regret", which is now compiled in the Everlasting Regret Original Sound Track! Famous musician Anthony Wong Yiu Ming serves as the producer and their first collaboration results in an intriguing song, in which Sammi Cheng experiments a new way of singing that possesses a never-before musical charm!

The film Everlasting Regret documents the life of a Shanghainese woman from the 1940s to the 1980s, and the music that accompanies the film also conveys a nostalgic mood. The Soundtrack features a classic Mandarin songs by the legendary Zhou Xuan, and other well-known tunes by such popular stars as Bai Guang, Wu Yingyin, and Yao Li. The original soundtrack also highlights three all-time favorite songs by Teresa Tang that have also appeared in the film. Music in Everlasting Regret, like images, will bring fans back to a city in the forever lost past.
