YesAsia Editorial Description

The new "Focus" of the K-pop world is rookie boy band F.cuz! Drawing attention even before their official debut, the group formed by leader Jin On, Ye Jun, Kan, and Lee U (the son of trot singer Sul Woon Do) made a splash in January with their first single JIGGY. Well on their way to pop stardom, the four guys now drop their debut mini-album No One. The title song No One is a catchy electronic dance tune penned by Kang Ji Won, the hit-making songwriter that gave us BEAST's Mystery, Secret's I Want You Back, and Kim Jong Kook's "I'm Waiting". The mini-album comes with five other tracks including JIGGY and the house number GO.

MINIALBUM‘NO ONE’(노원) 발매 !!

F Cuz Fighting!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well after watching the video for No One on the internet about a billion times I thought that I may as well splash out and get F Cuz’s first mini album….
F Cuz are one of the latest boy bands to try and make it in the K Pop world following in the footsteps of bands like Bigbang, Beast and U Kiss. If this EP is anything to go by, they may just have what it takes to hang in there and rise to the top as all of the songs offered here are catchy, well written, well composed and well performed.

You start off with Go which hits you with a heavy baseline and immediately gets your head banging. As it goes on it turns into an instant club classic with a retro vibe.

Next you get No One, F Cuz’s signature tune. Okay so it’s a little bit like U Kiss’ Binguel but I much prefer No One. Its edgy and ridiculously catchy and shows the dark, gritty side of F Cuz…. these boys are to be taken seriously!!!! You also get an instrumental version of this song at the end of the EP for you to sing along with to your heart’s desire!!!!

This is followed by Neo Ttaemune (excuse my bad spelling), which is probably the closest thing to a ballad on this EP …. But it really isn’t a ballad at all. It has another pumping base, but is coupled with more emotional and sensitive vocals by the boys.

Then we move on to BMG which to me is VERY similar to Bigbang’s Stylish which they made for their Fila campaign. But despite its similarity to the BB hit it is still another great tune by F Cuz.

This last song is Jiggy which has a completely different feel to the other songs as far from being dark and edgy it is a light-hearted pop tune. If BigBang were ever to sing SNSD’s Gee this is probably what it would sound like … it’s a mix of sugary sweetness with rough rappy vocals …. very nice … although the video is a bit too cute for me!!!!!

The packaging of the EP I must admit is a little flimsy. The CD it just shoved into between a folded piece of card and so will easily get scratched if not carefully looked after. You do however get some nice photos of the boys in various stylish outfits …. Nice!!!!

All in all I can’t wait to hear more from these boys, they tick every box for the perfect K Pop Boy band …. They sing, dance and look gorgeous!!! F Cuz Fighting!!!!

One Mini Album and I'm an Addict Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I found out about this group through a website and, after hearing a 30-second preview of the song 'Jiggy', I had to hear the full version. When I did, I wanted to know everything about these guys and any music they had put out.

1. 'GO' is definately the electronica/dance styled song for the album and it's a very addicting track. At first, I kept laughing at all the little Michael Jackson mimics where, throughout the song, they'll go "HEE HEE!" But the more I listened to it, the cuter I found it to be. This song belongs in a club.

2. 'NO ONE' is the main single off of the album and there's a reason for it. It's a hardcore dance track and I can't tell if this should fall into a sub-category of hip-hop/rock. It's definately a mixture of those two genres, as well as electronic. I can't help but love Yejun's voice in this; I just want to play his parts over and over again.

3. 'Neo ttaemune', for some reason, reminds be of 2PM's 'Again & Again' song. I hear this and I start invisioning them doing the dance to that song. Not that that's a bad thing! This song's very addicting, but for me, it took a few listens to like. I'm not very fond of this autotune craze and most of this song is filled with autotune, which hides the boys' talents. I'm just glad the chorus is autotune free.

4. 'Boy Meet Girl' is a very addicting rock/electronica song. It has a much darker feel than the previous songs, but these boys pull it off. LeeU's vocals are what made me fall for this song (even though, vocally, I'm Yejun-biased). I do find myself thinking of 'HEY! (Don't Bring Me Down)' by DBSK when listening to this song, and I can't figure out why. The songs are completely different. Not that it matters.

5. 'Jiggy' is the song that made me a fan of F.Cuz is the first place! It's very upbeat and sounds like a Lead song. X3 When I heard this full version, I kept saying that F.Cuz is the Korean version of Lead; which ended up making several of my friends fans of F.Cuz. And the PV to this is just so much fun! This song makes you want to get up and dance so badly!

I'm definately giving this a 5/5! All of the songs are amazing and these boys have some incredible talent! Between Yejun's and LeeU's gorgeous vocals and Jinon's and Kan's sick rapping skills, this group is going places! It wouldn't surprise me if they start topping the charts in the next few years.

good first single Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well I liked the first song Jiggy of them, just the mv was kind of too strange for me. The second one was much better and now the title song of this single "no one" is just awesome. I fell in love with them because I really like the mv.

The music is a mix out of pop/dance for me, I guess everyone has his own way of thinking and I just cannot stop listen to it. I haven't listen the whole single much, because no one is stuck in my head. The performances I have seen were great as well and I will looking forward for new stuff of them.

They are definitely worth to buy the single for support. I hope they will make more good singles or Album soon! A must have for fans and well it's worth to give them a try!!
