　　There has always been fame. In any human group or society throughout history, someone somewhere has become famous for something. The 20th century saw a rise in fame-seekers as well as its share of people who accidentally stumbled into the spotlight.
　　"Fame" explores the concept of the 20th century fame and infamy. It examines how the perquisites of fame have changed over the course of a hundred years, presenting celebrities from cinema, music, society and politics; and how an industry has been built around this phenomenon.
