In this fourth movie released under the banner of Johnny Entertainment J STORM Company, director Yabuuchi Shogo brings together J-Pop superstars Domoto Tsuyoshi from KinKi Kids and Kokubun Taichi from TOKIO to join forces for the irreverent comedy, Fantastipo! Released in February of 2005, Yabuuchi's directorial debut is a winning tale of two brothers who discover the real meaning of the word family!
The film revolves around the mostly dependable Toraji (Kokubun Taichi) and free-spirited Haiji (Domoto Tsuyoshi), two siblings who suddenly become President and Executive Director of Armadillo, Inc. when their father, Kintaro Koinobori, suddenly steps down from his position and appoints his sons in his stead. With the help of their father, the two brothers continue to keep Armadillo Inc. at the top of the heap, yet slowly, but surely the relationship among all three begins to deteriorate. Will the family hold together? Will they pull through? The answer may lie in a song the boys are composing. That song's name - Fantastipo...
Fantastipo marks Domoto Tsuyoshi's return to the silver screen, last appearing in Kindaichi Shonen's Case File: Legend of Shanghai Mermaid way back in 1997. The film is also a milestone for Kokubun Taichi, who makes his feature film debut. The regular edition DVD will contain interviews, various featurettes on the making of the film, and a 12-page booklet while the limited edition DVD boasts three discs, featuring even more supplemental material, including deleted scenes, trailers, CD soundtrack and much more! With its wonderful performances and winning story-line, Tabuuchi's first feature length production can be described in only one word: Fantastipo!

Fantastic
| Well, although this is a little bit too expensive, and I really do not have much expectation for Japanese movies, I'm still considering to purchase this item. Since I'm a big fan of Tsuyoshi (even though I'm more into his singing voice, his acting is definitely excellent!), and this is a comedy, I think it's worth to give a try. The theme song of it is definitely a great song. If this one has discount, I will purchase it with no doubt ^^', anyway, if my wallet has something left that enough for me to afford this, I will definitely buy it! I mean, it has been 7 years that Tsuyoshi hasn't act in movies, this should be a must buy~~~ |

I'm so crazy for Fantastipo!!! After listening the main theme by Tsuyoshi and Taichi, I found they're really good partners! My friend who is Tsuyoshi's fan in Japan, watched the movie, and said Fantastipo was great! I'm so looking forward to enjoying it at home ^O^! Moreover! There will be "Tsuyoshi's surprise greeting on stage!" He must be very cute and smart!!! Tsuyoshi and Taichi's fans, would you buy it too? (I want to hear comments from other fans too ~><~) |
