Fearless Is Jet's Prowess Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I was in Hong Kong from 26/1/2006 - 4/2/2006, and wanted to watch this movie there in the cinemas, but unfortunately the session we would like to see was all sold out (on my second last day in H.K.). Instead my cousin, Nancy Kwan Shu-hoi, our uncle, our aunty and I, went to watch "The Shopaholics" which starred Cecilia Cheung, Sean Lau Ching-wan, Jordan Chan Siu-chun, Ella Kwun Yan-na and Paula Tsui Siu-fung, etc. That movie wasn't too bad. There's inventive craziness in the film. "Fok Yuen-garp" (Fearless) would've been a much better movie to watch, because of high production values, the quality of martial arts direction, Jet Li's sizzling charisma and his character's ability to kick villians rear end hard, and (sometimes) kill. Hong Kong movie critics rate it about 8/10. Kung fu fans would've liked this film. Whether the Hong Kong general public liked it was another matter. But I have no doubt, overseas distribution of the film will be a success, because most Westerners who watch Jet on-screen, loved his movies. It (the film) will have a small, but a loyal cult following in the U.S., Australia, N.Z., U.K., Canada, etc...... (provides it shows the film in Western cinema chains and independent cinemas at a later date, (which is usually about a year later after Hong Kong and Chinatown cinemas' cinema release), and after that, a possible video/DVD distribution, either in video rentals or sales or both). Jet Li still has the power to move audiences with his crackling skill of wu shu for years to come, even though this maybe his last martial arts film.

Reason for no english subtitles Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
There is speculation of Rogue Entertainment is withholding the english subtitles because the movie is scheduled to be released in August in the US. The extended version also does not have english subtitles.

Regardless of subtitles, the content of the movie from what I've seen so far is great. I am slightly disappointed that Michelle Yeoh has been cut from the movie. All 40 mins of it.

Fearless Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Great fighting scenes. But the story has been told many times.... respect this respect yourself..tolerate this..blah blah... very predictable. The tearjerker trap didn't work either.

Jet Li is the best Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have not seem the movie, but the movie trailer is awesome. The story is well written and the background of each and everyone, crew and case, is very strong, best of the best. This is a truth story of the great martial arts master, Huo Yuan Jia. Huo Yuan Jia was and still is one of the great masters of the Chinese martial arts association and forever lives in the heart of all Chinese people. I personally pay great respect to this martial arts master for the spirit and bravery which he brought to the Chinese martial arts association and to all China Man. He and other well respect martial arts masters, who were murdered by the Japanese, stood along show world that China Man is not the "Sick Men of the East". The name "Sick Men of the East" was given by the Japanese because during the late 18th century the Britain poisoned China Men with Opium. Well, I shouldn't talk about history here, let get back to the movie. Many movies about Huo Yuan Jia, but this movie is play by a well know martial artist, Jet Li. Only four words for this movie "Best of the Best"

fearless Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is an awesome Jet Li movie. One of his best in a long time. The action is solid, and on a whole, the movie is very enternaining. There is no boring moment throughtout the whole movie. If the action stop, then, the acting and the philosophical part of the movie kick in, which helps propel the story forward. This movie will engage the audience, and will them on the edge of their seats.

Very touching and effective movie Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This movie has great heart. Though the story is not close to the real person, it is a story you want to belive is true. There are no one dimensional and clishe characters. Jet Li did a great acting job. The audience can feel his every emotion and change in his personality. The fight scenes are intense and never became excessive. The cinematography is beautiful too. After so many Chinese movies trying to be "Crouching Tiger" copy cats, it is nice to see somthing that is honest and straight forward, not pretending to be something more that what it is. This is one of the best Hong Kong or Chinese action movie I have seen in a long time. Kudos to Jet Li.
