YesAsia Editorial Description

A mysterious female voice emerged in the Taiwanese media earlier this year. Her name was Fengie. "Just Want You To Be Happy" in her crystal clear voice mixed together the melancholy of losing a loved one and a blessing for this ex-lover. The song amazed many pop music lovers who all wanted to know more about this mysterious girl Fengie. Soon her real identity was unveiled. She was indeed Frankie Wang who had been away from the music scene for quite some time.

Frankie's music career has not been entirely smooth. Her images as a gorgeous young lady in her debut in 1998 and then an intellectual girl for her second album in 2001 didn't seem to fit her. She then concentrated on writings songs and producing albums for singers like Sandy Lam, Elva Hsiao, Jasmine Leong... and kept developing her musical knowledge. Now she finally returns with her third album Fengie. Apart from singing, Frankie also wrote all the songs herself, and sought assistance from the production team for albums by J.Lo and Justin Timberlake to do the mixing. Get Fengie to see how she expresses her real self through 10 melodious songs!

I think shes great Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I think that she deserves more than wot the previous reviewer had given her. Shes got a nice voice compared with other some cpop singers (I wont mention any), I quite like the songs too, its got a good mixture of music and some have a good flow to them. comon for some1 who wrote her own songs and sings it, deserves more.

I didn't like it at all... Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
I'm sure I will get contradicted for this opinion, but it is mine and everyone else can type their own. Bluntly? I did not like one thing about this release. The style is 100% R&B and I don't think the singer has a good voice. She's on the alto side and a little husky in places... I just don't care for her style or her substance. Although, ironically enough (because I hate rap)...her little rap on track #3 (song #2) is actually not bad. She seems to be having fun doing it, which is more than I can say for most of her songs. This CD is sub-standard both vocally and musically in my mind. I can't even do my normal breakdown of each song, because after track #4 I HAD to turn it OFF. But, if you like boring R&B sung with no passion by a singer with a low and monotonous voice...then go for this. Just prop her cover photo up somewhere because her looks are about all she has going for her on this CD. Now...go ahead and tell me how wrong I am. I can take it. It's rare for me to dislike a CD so much, but I just had to post my thoughts here. Feel free to disagree. Differences are what make the world go 'round.
