Directed by Chin Man Kei (The Haunted School), Fight for Love is an inspirational action film adapted from a real-life story. Veteran Hong Kong action star Yuen Biao and actor/producer Cheung Kwok Keung lead the cast which includes Mainland starlet Li Bingbing, Hong Kong actress Yoyo Mung, and child actor Daichi Harashima from Lost in Time. Told in retrospect, the film opens with a national martial arts competition where trainer Hoi Dung (Yuen Biao) proudly looks on as his student Siu Hoi wins the top prize. He thinks back to the past, when Siu Hoi was just a 10-year-old boy, and to his own days of romance and fighting.

全國武術散打大賽中，少年拳手小海愈戰愈勇。教練海東一直在陪伴及支持著小海。回憶8年前，時年十歲的小海對運動有著濃厚興趣，但小海母親鞏敏主張小海去學習音樂，小海只得跟女老師莉莉學習小提琴。而隔壁的武術教室卻令小海心馳神往，同時莉莉也對武術老師海東有好感。海東最終被莉莉和小海的誠意打動，收下小海，海東發現小海有著很高的武術天份。此時三人感情亦大增。一天小海母親鞏敏見到海東，雙方皆表現出極大震驚。原來當年海東與小海的父母天明、鞏敏是同門弟子。海東在一次比賽獲勝後向鞏敏求婚，卻不知暗戀鞏敏已久的天明心痛如裂。婚後不久，鞏敏就懷著孕還沒來得切告知海東，海東便遠走他鄉參加全國散打大賽，但此去便不再回來。今日鞏敏只想海東不要破壞她的家庭幸福。此時一切盡在天明眼內。天明逼海東與他進行死決戰。同時天明將鞏敏與小海托付給海東，原來天明早已罹患絕症……
