Did not think Sammi and Tony Leung made a good match. Never would have thought about putting them together. It oddly worked out for them in this movie Fighting for Love. Director Joe Ma knows how to make these love movies work. I liked Niki Chow in this movie. Niki Chow has a pretty smile. The movie is about can two strangers who got into an argument become friends and later become lovers? They don't really live together like the Chinese title says. Sammi only lived at Tony Leung's house for a while and she go back to her home where her father lives. I liked this movie. It is good to watch again. |

didn't get it
|
this movie came right after "needing you" (sammy and andy), so compared to it, it's a bit disappointing. there's really nothing new, i'm not sure why it was released. if you don't compare to it though, this movie is okay on its own. kinda cute but nothing really special. |

This is a really cute movie. Both of the actors were great; their timing for some of the jokes were great. If you think that these two might not have on-screen chemistry, you'd be shocked. |

this dvd is excellent high quality, this movie is excellent. This movie is a romatic comedy, its so funny. Sammi have improved so much in this movie and also this is the best Tony Leung comedy movie. Its heaps funny with miriams movie, plus miriam can't really act she tries to copy sammi. Sammi is just to talented for Miriam to copy. This dvd is worth buying then other movie |

Don't Bother
|
This movie is about what you would expect from Sammi Cheng by now. Somewhat enjoyable fluff to pass some time. Tony Leung was wasted in this B movie. The DVD version of this film doesn't play well and tends to skip and pause, regardless of the platform used. Don't waste your money on this faulty product. |

Cute...

Tony Leung is in it. I just wonder why such a great calibur actor do B movies. Hmmmm... His performance was decent and it was an overall cute movie. Just fluff you can watch when you are bored. |

As much as I love Leung's acting and Cheng's singing, this show is unremarkable and indeed, rather boring. I only found the carpark confrontation in the first ten minutes amusing. Cheng's character is exceedingly annoying and whiny. Tony Leung, who is always a joy to watch, plays his role well but unfortunately, his character is neither as funny or as interesting as his other comedy roles. His character's family members are a pain and extremely irritating. This is a movie you will probably watch once and will see no need to watch again. |

Too boring
|
I agree with the other two reviewers, that this is a pretty boring and predictable film which does not deserve a good film rating. |

Who is writing these reviews?

I cannot believe this movie is receiving good reviews. Is it because those who dislike it dislike it so much that they can't bring themselves to revisit this website to voice their complaints? The plot of this movie is very thin. Two people meet through an accident, get drunk, and have sex. They wake up and say goodbye because the guy, Tony, already has a girlfriend. The female, Sammi, plays an annoying person. But guess what. Tony's girlfriend is infinitely more annoying. Tony dumps the more annoying girl for the less annoying girl. End of story. The interactions and relations of the entire supporting cast make no sense and have no purpose other than to drive Sammi and Tony together. |
