Attractive boys/girls and competitive sports are two basic ingredients of a successful idol drama, and these are exactly what Fighting Spirit has plenty to offer! Directed by Chen Yi Xian (Brown Sugar Macchiato), the 2009 Taiwan drama series takes taekwondo as its subject matter, and stars a bunch of hot young actors fighting for glory on the dojo. The adorable cast includes Fu Xiao Yun (Devil Beside You), Lu Ting Wei (Mysterious Incredible Terminator), Li Zhi Zheng, Wasir Chou, Gu Bin, Huang Wen Xuan, Kayano Ke Fen, and model/actress Shatina Chen who is known for owning "the best legs in Taiwan".

Fu Xiao Yun plays S University's taekwondo society chairperson Nami. Her team is considered the underdogs in the annual taekwondo competition against archrival T University, for they have not won a single match in the last ten years! But Nami has recruited five promising young students (Lu Ting Wei, Li Zhi Zheng, Zhou Yong Xuan, Gu Bin, and Huang Wen Xuan) for her team, and with the help of beautiful coach Susy (Shatina Chen), turned them into the "Star 5". Together, they will brave all obstacles and achieve the impossible by fighting their way to the gold medal in the competition!
