Very beautiful Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I really enjoy this soundtrack and I'm a huge fan of Nobuo Uematsu. It's extremely gorgeous and has a wide range of styles; alot with a contemporary rock sound. I do perfer his earlier works, but this is brilliant too! "Otherworld" is a cool song, but the singing is wretched...would it be called singing?? I do like the music though; it's wonderful! One of my favorite musical pieces is the opening theme which is so sad but very beautiful too! I also really love the battle music, especially the fight with Seymour. Only complaint from the whole album is RIKKI. I don't think she can sing very good like previous singers for FF such as Faye Wong and Emiko Shiratori...but I LOVE the "Suteki da ne" music so it makes up for it. Anyway, I guess it's just the desired vocals for this piece, which is OK n_n Nobuo Uematsu knew what he was doing.

I don't listen to this soundtrack AS MUCH as the other FF ones before X, but I do still love it and consider it a work of art. =) I just perfer the more orchestra sound compared to the rockish sound. Personal preference.

The Best Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack... famous... beautiful sounds!

Naprosto uzasny soundtrack a dle meho nazoru bezkonkurencne nejlepsi z dilu OST FF VI az X-2. Hudba ktera dokaze cloveka naprosto pohltit je jako soundtrack temer bezchybna.

this soundtrack is okay; there are better ones out there. i enjoyed about half of the songs i've heard on all 4 of the cds. some good tracks (which i translated to english)are: at zanarkand, besaid island, spirian scenery, farplane sending, djose temple,sprouting, blazing desert, the truth revealed, tragedy, thunder plains, to the end of the abyss, and some day the dream will end. however, of the 90-something tracks that are in the set, the best tracks are: suteki da ne -the english translation is isn't it beautiful?- both the regular and orchestra version and people of the far north. these tracks are beautiful and seem very dramatic; you can listen to them over and over again. an important note is that listening to the soundtrack alone is way different from playing the game with the backround music and isn't meant for everyone. overall, this is probably a great buy to all-out ff gamers/fans and satisying for people who just want something different.

Have you played FINAL FANTASY X? Yes, of course. So think about the adventure of Tidus, Yuna & C. Think about the fantastic world of Sphira. And think about the sounds... This OST is the best way to go back to the dreaming world of Final Fantasy.

Good FF music, could be better, just a bit short ! Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
I have been very highly of almost every Final Fantasy music out there! But Final Fantasy X, is an exception, because the main composer received help from other gamer composers. I mean this is not a bad idea, getting talents from others, but it just feels quite different from the classical sound that every Final Fantasy always have. I would prefer more of sound production from the regular composer, Umatsu. If you really like Final Fantasy music and especially music coming from Squaresoft, then buy it, you won't regret. The only thing I wish Umatsu could have done, is more pumping adrenaline music, too many mellow music in FF X, probably because the other composers have different styles. If you don't like ambient or too mellow style, maybe play the game, and get a better feel if you want to own this collection! Keep up the good work Squaresoft composer and especially Umatsu! Without Umatsu, Final Fantasy just don't quite sound complete or feel like an epic!
