Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings (Japan Version) Nintendo DS

Return to Ivalice with Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings, the sequel to the best-selling Playstation 2 RPG Final Fantasy XII. Released exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Revenant Wings takes place one year after the events of Final Fantasy XII, with novice sky pirate Vaan and childhood friend Penelo taking on an all-new adventure on the floating continent of Puruvama. Vaan and his party are in search of treasure, but in true Final Fantasy style they soon embark on an unpredictable adventure, filled with excitement, danger, and maybe some romance.

Director Toriyama Motomu (Final Fantasy X-2) promises a streamlined Final Fantasy experience for Revenant Wings, with many complex elements of play removed for Nintendo DS users. The combat system resembles the active-time battles of FFXII, except they can be controlled entirely with the stylus and touchscreen, making for a smoother play experience. Revenant Wings has been specifically designed to suit the DS; in addition to utilizing the DS's dual screens, the game will be playable in shorter bursts, suiting a portable rather than a console system. Still, despite the changes, many familiar Final Fantasy elements will be retained, including summon monsters, an interactive leveling system, and an epic storyline worthy of the Final Fantasy name.
