A Good Legend

My first exposure to this movie was years ago on VHS and I'm glad to get this 2-disc special edition. Jet was excellent in this movie, his Japanese co-star was right for the role in her sweet and innocent way, Billy Chow was one 'bad ass' and Furata was great. Bey Logan did a good job on the commentary and I'm glad of the little trivia thrown in for the western audience. The 2nd disc had great interviews with Furata in which he gave an insight into his own martial arts and acting career spreading over to Hong Kong, Director Gordon Chan's views and Chin Siu-Ho interview were also interesting. Bonus bit was showing Kurata's pupils in his 'martial arts' Kurata Action Class practising their skills under the watchful eye of the Master. It's good to get latest interviews thrown in as I'm sure most ardent fans out there wants to know and see how their idols are getting along. Pity Jet didn't do one. Next project for Bey perhaps?? Don't let this one get away. |
