YesAsia Editorial Description

Martial arts actor Chao Wen Cho takes on all comers in the fast-paced actioner Fist Power, directed by Aman Cheung and co-starring acclaimed character actor Anthony Wong! Chao Wen Cho is Brian, a Mainland security expert who's in Hong Kong to visit his family. But when his nephew is taken hostage at his school, Brian leaps into action! The would-be terrorist is Charles (Anthony Wong), an ex-British forces marine whose stepson Tony has been snatched from him. The child's true parents are a pair of dastardly gangsters, who only want the child to collect on an inheritance scam. Since the government won't help him, Charles can only take matters into his own hands, and holds the school hostage until Tony is returned. Luckily, there's Brian, who decides that the best way to solve the situation is simply to give Charles what he wants. With a pretty reporter (Gigi Lai) and a dopey slacker (Sam Lee) in tow, Brian races to the airport to grab Tony and bring him back to Charles - and Heaven help anyone who gets in his way! Featuring fast and furious chase sequences and kung-fu action aplenty, Fist Power eschews complexplotting for a quick-and-tough action storyline that entertains from start to finish!

Action movie 101 for kids Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
There is minor delivery of memorable kung-fu action in this movie that makes you wonder, what were these actors thinking? Basically this is a movie for young-young crowds maybe breaking into the action movie specialty. The only saving grace this film had to offer were snippets of action cameos of Cheng Pei Pei, Kara Hui & a couple others that are identifiable to kung-fu/Shaw Bros fans. Perhaps this was done for the benefit of possible parents of the kids who'd be wanting to watch a silly intro to action movie like this.

Not Bad Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Giving it a score of 8 for actors/actresses. Leads and supporting did a great job although plot a bit weak. But there were some funny moments. Can put this movie on for like a snowy Sunday afternoon.

Silly but lots of action Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
The best thing about the movie is there's lots of martial arts battles, and Chao does have a good screen presence. There's some good guest spots like Wai Ying-hung and Lau Kar-wing to add some more fights. But there is a decent story in there even though it's flimsy. See it to watch Chao kick some butt.

Highly Recommended Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a really entertaining movie which features alot of exciting action sequences, a decent plot and also a touch of comedy(highly unusual for Chao Wen Cho films) and I would highly recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of Chao Wen Cho or Sam Lee.
