Following the If You Were Me formula, Fly Penguin strings together multiple stories of daily lives and struggles, discriminations and difficulties that are easily overlooked in society because they're so common. Forever the Moment's Moon So Ri, Park Won Sang, Park In Hwan, Jeong Hye Sun, Son Byung Ho, and Choi Kyu Han are among the film's talented ensemble cast.

Seung Yoon is just a kid but he's stressed out from school, private lessons, and his mother's constant nagging about him not doing well enough. Joo Hoon is a vegetarian and doesn't drink, which creates distance between him and his co-workers who find him strange. Soo Hyung sent his wife and children overseas so they could have better lives, but now his life is quiet and lonely. Ready to start over in her twilight years, Song asks her overbearing husband for a divorce.

ヒジョンが勤める福祉課の新入社員ジュフンはベジタリアンで酒も飲めない。昼は弁当を持参し、先輩から冷ややかに見られるジュフン。そしてとある飲み会でやけになって酒をあおり、病院に運ばれてしまう・・・。
福祉課の課長クォン（ソン・ビョンホ）は一人暮らし。間もなく4年前からアメリカ留学している娘と息子が妻と共に帰国する。楽しみにしていたクォン課長だが、アメリカ生活に慣れた彼らとの間には大きな溝が生じていたのだった。クォン課長の両親は2人暮らし。夫は妻をあごで使うような生活。妻が免許を取りたいと言えば馬鹿にし、友達と旅行に行くと言えば反対していた。だがついに妻も堪忍袋の緒が切れる。夫は熟年離婚の危機にさらされている事に気付いていなかった。
