definitely a must Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
As captivating and most enjoyable as 'the king and the crown' but more serious and not at all suitable for children. All the three main casts did remarkably well. A film that captures your attention from start to finish without a moment of wondering off. Even the subtitles are big and easy to read. Well done.

Love knows no gender Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Most of my indelible memories of Korean movies came from "Wang-ui Namja". Since then there have been many movies hoping to ride on the issue of homosexuality but many are mere hype and no punch.

I have been putting Sseonghwajeom for a while because I did not want to be disappointed but to my delight, just like Yoo Ha's Dirty Carnival from 2006, this movie delivered everything it promises and more.

Without giving too much away, it is important for to clarify that while this movie DOES explore the issue of homosexuality and bisexuality, I think Yoo Ha's ultimate goal is to show that true love KNOWS no GENDER. Worst still is how fast the heart can change when love hits.

One definitely needs an open mind for this piece but the wonderful jobs done by all the three main actors are simply superb. It was difficult and painful to watch but so gripping that I could not look away.

Enjoy.
