남성밴드 FTISLAND가 10개월여 만에 미니앨범 ‘RETURN’을 발매했다.
그 동안 일본에서 활발한 활동을 펼친 FT아일랜드는 앨범 타이틀인 ‘RETURN’에 ‘한국으로 돌아와 FTISLAND만의 음악을 들려준다’는 의미를 담았다.
FTISLAND는 일본에서 싱글 앨범을 발표하며 오리콘 차트 상위권에 이름을 올려왔으며 지난 4월에는 싱글앨범 ‘SATISFACTION’을 오리콘 싱글 주간차트 2위에 올리는 쾌거를 이뤘다. 특히 타이틀 곡 ‘SATISFACTION’은 후지TV에서 방영되고 있는 애니메이션 ‘토리코(トリ/toriko)’의
엔딩테마로 타이업 됐으며 보컬인 이홍기는 TBS에서 방영중인 드라마 ‘머슬걸’의 주인공으로 뜨거운 사랑을 받고 있다.
타이틀곡 Hello Hello는 BPM 200의 빠르고 경쾌한 락으로 전주 부분에 어쿠스틱 주법의 신선함과 빠른 락 사운드가 결합된 곡이다. ‘Hello Hello’ 라는 제목은 사랑하는 연인을 보내기 아쉬워 이별의 인사말이 아닌 Hello Hello 라는 인사말로 반어적 표현을 한 것이 특징이다.
‘RETURN’은 ‘사랑 사랑 사랑’이후 주로 일본 등 해외 활동에만 매진해왔던 FTISLAND가 오랜만에 국내에서 발매한 앨범으로 FTISLAND의 성숙해진 음악을 즐길 수 있는 최고의 앨범이 될 것이다.

I'm not a huge fan of 'rock'. I tend to gravitate towards pop music or classical. That said, I caught a glimpse of FT Island's music video (Hello Hello) and decided to give their album a try. Boy was I surprised! I love every single song on this album. From the addictive Hello Hello to the more subdued tracks. All 5 songs are enjoyable, catchy and most importantly not obnoxious! The lead singer's voice (Lee Hongki?) is refreshing. Different. Distinctive. Emotive. I love his voice. The band compliment him perfectly (I know that's not their purpose but some bands are at odds with the lead singer - or so it seems to me. In this case the music and the lead vocals all blend together beautifully). My ONLY complaint is the price. At $16.00 for 5 songs you're paying $3.00 per song (and that's not including shipping). That's a bit steep. Still, I'm glad I invested the money because this is music I will be listening to for a long time. I highly reccommend this album to everyone. Fans of rock, those who aren't fans of rock and all the ones in between. |

I got my package today~ I really love the pictureeeeeeees! Jonghoon oppa and Jaejin oppa~ <3 Their songs are amazing! I loveee the guitar sounds. I also like the cover. It is so cool. Worth buying for. :D |
