Welll... it's ok!!
Well its a failure to the US version wear Antonio Banderas plays opposite ... can't remember!!! I find Andy Lau off-beat!! But Sorimachi Takashi is ok. Maybe Lau maybe played his villain assassin role, maybe i have seen him in so many movies i feel this film is not likely for him. Anyhow, over-all the film is good. |

Eye candy vs. Eye candy
I thought I wasn't a big fan of assasin flicks but I guess I was impressed none the less, especially since I could pick up on alot of the odes to other assasin flicks made in this one. (since Andy Lau's character's style was to pay homage or refer to other assasin types) Loved the multi-cultural/multi-language of the film especially if you can appreciate all of them. (or at least differentiate when what's being spoken). It was a competition of extremes in attitude, procedure, socialization, looks- in assasin vs assasin style. |

Challenging for the Cultural Illiterate
This was a brilliant movie that can be very challenging for the culturally illiterate population. Some have complained of the multiple languages that were used but I feel that it was a clever way of introducing an original presentation method to a movie that has a time-old plot--two ¡§bad¡¨ boys fighting it out for one ¡§good¡¨ girl. In addition, are audiences really so lame and unintelligent that they can¡¦t grasp a movie if there¡¦s more than one language being used? Finally, Andy Lau was fabulous. He was handsome, maniacal and wicked as Tok. He carried much of the movie with his charisma and interpretation of the ultimate unforgiving killer. A must-see for all assassin-film fans. |

Decent attempt to sway from Orthadox HK action...
Though the purpose of this movie was to attract Western audience, it did a decent job. I thought they could have just spoke cantonese. English was just horrible from some of the actors. But overall... decent movie... Well choreographed action.... Nice Bullet ballet... Decent acting, but no plot. Well, there is Kelly Lin... That is why I gave the movie a few extra points! |

Fun to watch
I would strongly recommend "Fulltime Killer" to anyone that really likes their action films to have enough blood. This movie is kinda like... violence, with a side of violence. Yes, there IS a plot, but the movie shows its real strength when they simply let Andy Lau start shooting. Lau is truly the greatest asset the movie has, and he brightens up the screen every moment he's there. It's too bad we have to watch occasional breaks to see the police that are tracking Tok and O, because the two intense rivals really supply the needed plot without dragging the Chinese fuzz into it. Overall, it's a fun movie to watch, and isn't that all that matters? |

Not Bad at All
If you're looking for a movie in which there's a lot of shooting and violence and other such things, you may enjoy this. I did enjoy this movie but some things about it just bothered me. I disliked the fact that English was used so much. It seems to me that many movies are starting to use English dialogue and it just makes the movie uninteresting. A lot of the time, the actors aren't fluent in English so that just makes the movie fobish. For instance, Simon Yam's performance could have been better. With him speaking English throughout the movie made his character less real to me. If he had spoken in Chinese or Japanese, his character would have been better. Maybe there could have been more feeling in his words. I liked the beginning. You see that O is a three dimensional person. He isn't just about killing and the money. He has FEELINGS. I think it's rare to see Andy play the villain, if you could call him that in here. He did well. |

Good film bad ending
This is a pretty good film as the action was really stylish but as a big Andy Lau fan I really hated the ending and Andy Lau's character(a guy who likes killing people and likes to wear different masks of previous American presidents). In my opinion it would be better if Andy Lau played O and that Japanese guy played Tok. |

An Attempt to Be More Than the Usual Cliche Action
The opening sequence is an excellent piece. We see one of Japan's top leading male actors, Takashi Sorimachi, pay his respects for a woman he loved. Flash forward a few mintues later and the viewer is thrown into a bloodbath of bodies. This is one of the finer directions by Johnnie To - To show the viewer two sides of the professional killer named "O". What is gripping about this film is the camera angle and computer work seen throughout - the graveyard, the E-Mail connection on the Internet, and the fireworks at the end of the film. In terms of quality of direction, this film is tops-notch. Though the four language conversations may confuse the viewer during the first fifteen minutes, I discovered that the integration of the languages blend in perfectly. Being multilingual myself, I find that the actors' language skills are very good and one will make out very slight accents in their speech. A large negative I feel this film has, which is a major reason why the score isn't higher, the Female Acting is low-par. The female character, "Chin" who cleans "O's" apartment was brought in for eye-candy and romance to develop. There didn't appear to be any air of romance between either her or the two leading male actors. I would love to see a film in the future where the film is strong enough to support an all male cast without any eye-candy. Though, yes, I am full aware "Chin" is in the novel - I feel her character is needless regardless. This film would've fared better if "O" was allowed to reconcile his mourning over "Nancy" in more than a few scenes thrown in to explain her death. This film borrows from some films. One of them most obvious is the plot of a housecleaner reminiscent of Fallen Angels. Despite the borrowing of plots from other films, FullTime Killer manages to bring itself out of the usual cliche action flick by its intensive deep character analysis of the two Assassins and the Police Investigator named "Lee". To some viewers, there may appear to be either too many talking or too many killings. Whichever way the viewer sees it, FullTime Killer does deliver on the action sequences and the slow monotone conversations which are so full of dread and life at the same time. Since one of the films by Johnnie To, Running Out of Time, this film brought me back to Hong Kong Cinema. And despite some of the negatives I have said, this film has made me proud of HK Cinema production. |

Good action
The plot may not be good at all but the way the movie goes it is good. The style how each professional killer kills people is cool. There might be four different language being talked but it is still cool. |
