Get ready for a non-stop parody ride!

Within the past ten years, Korean film industry has taken a huge leap in both quality and volume. There were hugely successful blockbusters as well as other features with vast range of subjects. Fun Movie can be considered a culmination of Korea's hugely successful film industry in so far that it solely offers parodies of Korean big screen hits.

The film revolves around the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Japan's ultra right-wing group, the Million Men Patriots, are setting up a plot to disrupt an up-coming historic soccer match. After going through severely harsh training, the Patriots finally select Murakami and a cold-hearted sharp-shooter named Hanako as leaders of the World Cup sabotage team. The clandestine group is dispatched to Seoul to launch their evil operation, but of course, things do not at all work out as planned and soon the luckless criminals even run out of sabotage money …

fun movie on DVD Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I havent seen this film as it has no english subtitles. However there is a Thai version of Funny Movie on DVD with english subtitles if u look for it. Maybe YesAsia will sell it some day.

I want to watch this movie because I am a Kim Jun Eun fan. I do not know Korean and this VCD does not have any subtitle. That makes it impossible for me to buy it. I hope YesAsia will come up with a region-free DVD for it soon.

 Yay! Korean Parody! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is the funniest Korean movie I've ever seen! The film makers really did their homework when they made this, Korea's first (and so far only?) parody.

It's got lots of laughs on it's own, but here's some recommended prerequisite viewing to help you fully appreciate many of the jokes: Shiri, Attack the Gas Station, Last Present / The Gift, My Sassy Girl / My Yupki Girl, JSA / Joint Security Area, The Ring, The Foul King, Beat, Peppermint Candy, Green Fish, Nowhere To Hide, Bichunmoo, Two Cops, A Horror in Highschool, and many more.

One of the special features is a scene comparison with actual clips from some of the original films.

If you like Korean cinema, you'll love "Fun Movie"!
