Funny Ghost (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

Hong Kong comedy queen Sandra Ng stars in the side-tickling 1989 comedy Funny Ghost. Also known as Bloody Ghost, the film co-stars Alvina Kong Yan Yin and comedy regular Nat Chan, as well as Charlie Cho and the late great Walter Cho Tat Wah, both iconic faces of Hong Kong cinema though for very different reasons. Funny Ghost is helmed by renowned action choreographer Yuen Cheung Yan, the younger brother of Yuen Woo Ping. Though his forays into directing have been less noticeable than his older brother's, Yuen Cheung Yan was fairly active behind the camera in the 1980s and early 90s with a series of low-budget supernatural-themed comedies like Taoism Drunkard (1984), Here Comes a Vampire (1990), Kung Fu Vampire (1993), and Funny Ghost.

Deep in gambling debt, club girl Sandra (Sandra Ng) turns to best friend Yummy (Alvina Kong) for help, threatening to commit suicide to earn her sympathy. In the chaos, Sandra accidentally slips and falls off the building. Miraculously surviving her fall, she stumbles upon a bag of money and a vase. This is no ordinary vase though - it houses a spirit who thanks Sandra and Yummy by helping them cheat! In the blink of an eye, the girls have cleared their debts and are swimming in money. The vase, however, actually belongs to a mob boss (Wu Fung) who sends an assassin after Sandra and Yummy to retrieve the vase. Meanwhile, two detectives (Nat Chan and Charlie Cho) are also on the case and trailing the girls.

爛賭成性的舞女吳君如，騙了姐妹的錢去賭馬，不幸全軍覆沒，欠下巨債，唯有向姐妹江欣燕求助。吳以自殺來騙取江借錢，怎料江剛巧被男友騙去所有財產，決心與吳一同尋死。兩人嘗試各式自殺途徑不果，吳失足墜樓，幸虧大難不死，並拾獲大哥雄（胡楓飾）的一袋錢和一個石盅。大哥雄派殺手樓南光追殺及取回石盅，因石盅內藏有大哥雄從法師手上以高價買來的鬼仔，擁有它便會心想事成。此時警方亦派出神探陳百祥和曹查理，偵查吳墜樓的真相。吳與江自獲得石盅後，逢賭必贏，同時又遭樓的追殺及兩神探的跟蹤。她們會否因石盅的法力而時來運轉？還是被大哥雄奪回石盅，打回原形？兩神探能否將惡人繩之於法？

Taxi dancer Sandra puts herself head over heals in debt because of gambling. When trying to borrow a loan from her close friend, Yummy, under tricks of suicide, she pretendedly pushes Yummy down a tall building but falls down from the roof top herself. She has got a narrow escape and a windfall of picking up a sack of money from a Chinese spiritualized vase which belonging to a big brother, King Kong. With the help of the spirit, Sandra and Yummy win so much that they almost lose their sense. They want to keep the vase themselves so they have to get away from the pursuit of a killer sent by King Kong, as well as another two mysterious detectives. Will the two girls land their wish of getting rich with the magic vast ?
