Excellent...
Excellent...
| I really enjoy this CD. It's got a nice mix of ballads and mid-tempo songs so it never gets boring. The artist has a lovely, strong soprano voice...although she has some trouble maintaining extremely high notes and could use some vocal work there. The songs themselves are lovely and well orchastrated. The booklet of lyrics shows the artist to be lovely as well as talented. This might be a bit too mellow for followers of TRUE J-Pop, but for fans of Matsu Takado, Fish Leong, and Kokia...it's just right and perfectly done. I would definitely buy her next CD. This is an excellent purchase and one I'm sure I will play again and again. My ONLY complaint is NOT with the music or artist, but with the case the CD came in...it's thick. Far too thick for a standard American CD holder case...it has to be stored BESIDE the CD rack since it won't fit and that's a shame. It deserves to be displayed by other fabulous Japanese artists and not sitting on the floor next to them. Note to Pony Canyon: PLEASE MAKE YOUR JEWEL CASES STANDARDIZED. Note to the singer: KEEP IT UP! |
