Yeah. WOW. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It took me, what...three hours to get completely sucked into Miyavi's music? xD I'm from America, so it's pretty hard to find a place where they have Jrock CDs, even harder to find Miyavi CDs online since he's an indies rocker.

Anyways, vocally, Miyavi's singing improved so much! Before, he couldn't control his voice very well, and now he's hitting those high notes and there is less unintentional croaking. Did I mention how amazing the music is? Yup. Blew me outta my socks.

Joushou Gaidou <---the best darn song on the album.

Awesome. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Miyavi's highly anticipated second album can be summed up in one word: Brilliant. From the second acoustic Due le quartz cover to the painfully catchy melodies and head-bangable guitar riffs, this album just kicks too much ass for its own good. This won't be a play by play of each song, but an over view of some of my favorites and generally what you can expect.

The album is spiced up, if you will, with interludes of music, engine noises, and other things you may or may not care about, but they seem to frame the record nicely, however pointless. Fans the Jingle Bell and Jibun Kakumei -2003- singles will be thrilled to find "remixes" of two songs from those singles, accompanied by the originals. Don't expect actual remixes of these songs, however. When you listen, you'll know what I mean. Fans of Gagaku will love tracks like Shikenkan Baby and Ippiki Ookami Ron. There are plenty of musical themes for you to attempt to catch on to.

Joushou Gaidou, everyone's initial favorite track on the album, achieves ‘can be played on the radio' quality without losing the signature rough edges we have come to adore. It's got all the things a good meev-song-stew requires to be a great single. Heavy (and at times choppy) guitar, animalistic vocals mixed with a practiced seductive tone with which Miyavi has fans staring glossy eyed at their speakers, an entertaining music video, and an almost tangy motif. This song has success written all over it. Proof that our favorite solo artist hasn't allowed himself to be watered down or burned out.

For a little change of pace, which we were introduced to with the Coo quack cluck single, Miyavi's aa kanashiki ka na yaotware no mi no buruusu (a title that changed upon its official release) fits a whole different mold. One reminiscent of blue grass and waking up at 4am to milk cows. It matches up rather well with the pictures from Wagahai, where Miyavi tromps around in the grass wearing a straw cowboy hat. But really, this song is melodically pleasing and an often needed break from all the "CRUNCH BANG CRASH SCREECH UWAAA" that one encounters on Galyuu.

Ossan Ossan Ore Nanbo...is one of the most addictive songs I have heard to date. It's got the hyper-active aura of Tariraritarara and the crunch-like intensity of Coin Lockers Baby, without sounding anything like either of those songs. Go figure. It's repetitive and somehow not annoying; confusing and somehow focused intensely; chaotic yet brilliantly planned. It was definitely the first track I felt the need to play on repeat. It opens with some teasing guitar and the occasional devilish cackling that will have you giving your stereo the shifty eye. It breaks into a (nearly) DLQ-esque frenzy before you have a chance to mentally prepare yourself and all you can do is soak it in with the hope that such a song never has to end. Sadly, it does. But never fear. This album has a trend: No matter where you're at on the cd, the next track keeps getting better.

Miyavi covered Due le quartz's "Requiem", which was personally one of the coolest surprises I could have gotten with this album, seeing as it's one of my favorite Dlq songs. To appreciate this cover, you definitely have to be a fan of Miyavi's vocal style. He sort of croons and whines his way through the tune, changing things up a bit to make it his own. Accompanied only by his guitar, it makes for a really emotional, sort of hollow sounding track that you can easily get lost in. A perfect track to end with, especially if you have the album on repeat. By the time the song ends you're in a daze, and when the album starts up again you get a nice smack in the face... and it's time to do it all over again.

Overall, Miyavi improved with this album. Some say it's too reminiscent of Gagaku, but clearly the artistry in the music itself proves he's come a long way and stretched even further into his own musical realm. I give this album two thumbs up, five stars, ten out of ten, yadda yadda. If yo
