I almost fell off the chair laughing. Kim Jae Won does a great job in torturing poor Ha Ji Won's character - it is hilarious! An enjoyable show with a little less than predictable storyline. Spy Girl (Hong Kong Version)
May 21, 2006 Spy GirlThe story line about a North Korean spy infiltrating South Korea and a guy about to go into military service has potential to be a funny show. However, the screenplay just did not deliver on the potential of the idea.
I enjoyed Gong Yoo's comic acting and Jadu's acting was moderate in her portrayal of a N. Korean spy. I was just a tad disappointed that the plot wasn't developed more to allow the characters more depth.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

May 21, 2006 He Was CoolA funny romantic comedy that will tickle your funny bone and bring tears to your eyes. It's about a guy who has self-alienated himself from others and a girl who is open and vibrant. Naturally, when the two come together there are sparks and the hilarious stunts begin. May 21, 2006 She's on DutyAfter watching the K-Drama "Kim Sam Soon" I eagerly anticipated this movie. If you liked the Kim Sam Soon character, you'll enjoy this movie.
Kim Sun-ah (main actress) does a great job in creating a Kim Sam Soo-like character who happens to be a cop. It also was a wonderful match to have Gong Yoo as her leading man once again after their initial pairing in the "S-Diaries". The only trouble I had with believing this movie was that Sun-ah played a high school student. Really now, give me a break - she looks great, but 18? I don't think so.
The movie has action, comedy, romance and did I say comedy? Kim Sun-ah really exceeds in this particular genre. Comedy is typically seen as low brow, but it takes talent to carry it off well.

There are still some pretty cool fight scenes, but the fights scenes are secondary to the plot, unlike the first movie where it appeared that the plot was based primarily on the fight scenes.
Shin Eun Kyung delivers in this movie and is allowed to explore more facets of her character as well as introduce more comedy. The listing of China's Ziyi Zhang is misleading as she has perhaps 1 minute in the movie at the very end. Otherwise, this movie is enjoyable and brings in characters from the original "My Wife is a Gangster" minus the husband (thank goodness).Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

May 21, 2006 Mapado IslandAlthough this movie has a slow beginning, you discover that the pace of the movie is deliberate as it lulls you into the pace of Mapado Island. Initially, I had been hesitant about purchasing this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it entertaining.
If you're looking for action and a slash n' crash movie, this is not the show for you. It's about getting back to what is important in life, and determining what your life's priorities are in an amusing manner.
