「ギャラクシー★クエスト」は宇宙探査局の活躍を描いた往年の人気ＴＶシリーズ。この番組を宇宙で傍受し、歴史ドキュメンタリーと勘違いしていたエイリアン〈サーミアン〉がいた。出演者達をヒーローとして崇拝していた彼らは、宿敵サリスの攻撃を受け、真の指導者を求め地球へとやってくる。出演依頼と勘違いしたＴＶ俳優たちは、監督も脚本も心の準備もないまま、本物の宇宙へと飛び立った。かくして、単なる俳優達は番組の経験だけを頼りに宇宙の危機に立ち向かうのであった。放送打ち切りから２０年を経た今も熱狂的なファンを持つＳＦ番組「ギャラクシー・クエスト」。今日もある都市で、ファン集会が開かれていた。が、招待された出演者の前に奇妙な４人組が現れ“自分たちの星を侵略者から守って欲しい”と助けを求めてきた。最初は冗談と思った出演者たちだったが、彼らは本当の異星人で、番組そのままの宇宙船も用意していた……。
