Flying Turtle vs Giant Bugs

I have never seen a Gamera Movie before! (shock!) A film with a giant Flying Turtle with big teeth? No, it was so much more! I really enjoyed this film it had great effects work, they seem to try and keep the camera moving very realistically to make it seem like the bizarre things are real. A huge, mushroom like pod bursts through a building and is going to release a spore to repopulate, along with this come a Legion of smaller bug creature and a giant Queen. For some reason Gamera does not like this and does his best to destroy the pod, destroying half the city in the process! He is overwhelmed by the smaller bugs and has to flee to get his strength back. He will need it to fight the big, spiky, Queen! As with traditional giant monster movies we have an assorment of military weaponary trying to blow everything up and a titanic tussle between the creatures! I do prefer Godzilla but this Gamera is no pushover and I look forward to seeing a few more of his battles. |

Awesome Movie
|
Great Special Effects and Great Story Telling, The second Movie in The Trilogy of 90's Gamera movies. This movie is action packed, Giant Monster Movies are not what they used to be, The new Toho Godzilla,Mothra, King Ghidorah isn't even as Good as the Gamera series and I'm a bigger fan of Godzilla. |
