Taiwan indie rock band Echo was formed by a bunch of college kids in 1998. Led by singer and guitarist Wu Po Chang, the Echo quintet have since played in numerous live gigs, winning fans with their mesmerizing psychedelic rock music. Before its ambitious 2007 release Bastille Day, the band had already earned wide acclaim from established musicians like Wu Bai with its debut album, which also won a Best Newcomer award in a Mainland China music award.
