Mando-pop's ballad prince returns to the origin in his latest album Genesis! Since he debuted 21 years ago, Jeff Chang has experimented with numerous musical styles in his expansive discography, but finally he wants to get back to what he is best at in his new album in over two years. This time, the album contains 10 songs tailor-made for Jeff's mellow, mesmerizing, and velvet-like voice. The foremost single "The Beginning" has its music video shot in the distinctive scenery of Zhangjiajie, Hunan to symbolize the meandering path love often takes. In the follow-up plug "Vacant Seat", Jeff croons about the loneliness in urban life. Another featured track is the romantic duet "The Power of Bliss" on which the Taiwanese pop veteran sings opposite rising Singaporean diva Olivia Ong.
