Pretty good
| Koda's 9th single "Gentle Words" is a wonderful and romantic ballad. There are so many emotions in that song, you just have to love. This single also contains "Without Your Love", a well-bassed cool song, real ear candy. You should have a try! You won't regret. |

Not so gentle words.
| I think Koda Kumi's older songs are better than the new ones on this single, no offense. I'm a fan of hers, but this single just isn't her usual style. Not saying that she can't explore a little, but these three new songs aren't as good as her previous ones; these songs seem to emphasize beat and don't have much background music in them. "Gentle Words" is okay, but rather mediocre (and the PV was beyond creepy). It has a nice tune and cuts it as a ballad. "Without your Love" is hardly a ballad, though with good background vocals. It's really repetitive though; the whole song is essentially the same thing over and over again. In "Saigo no Ame" her voice is scratchy, low and a bit off key, and the beat in the background annoys me. However, I like the lyrics, and I think her voice is supposed to convey emotion, despite it sounding to me like she's being whiny. Koda Kumi's capable of a lot more though, so I'm still anticipating her next single. |

Perfect

This single is worth buying it ! Finally there is a Ballad-release (ok, 1000 no Kotba was before but that was a double single, where Real Emotion stands before) and it's perfect for this time in the year. The single will contain : 1. Gentle Words 2. Without you 3. ³Ì«áの«B and the instrumental versions of the songs. Three complet new songs ! Thats wondeful. Kumi's voice is made for ballads, her deep vocals and her control over powerfull high tones let you melt away and she'll definetly show us what talent she really got. So don't miss this one ! It's perfect ! And watch out for her new single, which will be realesed on the 15th January !!! |
