Based on Shiro Masamune's manga, the visionary sci-fi actioner is set in a cyber-infused world of the future where Major Kusanagi Motoko and her partner Batou work for Section 9, an elite crime-fighting unit specializing in technology-related crimes. Kusanagi is investigating a mysterious hacker known only as the Puppet Master. The case leads them to an escaped cyborg without any human brain cells, and yet seems to have a "ghost" within.

Best I've Ever Seen Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The story was difficult to follow at first, but once into it, this film was an amazing feat of science fiction, far beyond anything shown on american television. I strongly advise anyone who loves anime to watch this movie. You won't be sorry!
