I received this album today, around 15 days after ordering it. It came nicely wrapped, with mild wrinkling around the edges that can be overlooked. The design of the album itself is plain simple just like the jeans and t-shirt they wear on the cover. 1. Gee. This here song is the one that catapulted SNSD into the stratosphere of K-pop stardom. This song is undoubtedly going into the history books of K-pop together with Genie and The Boys. Even till now, it remains the most adorable live song ever :P 2. Way To Go is their trademark energy song, their second true rock sound after Into The New World and once again, they pull it off effortlessly. Just like Into The New World, you literally receive energy from the girls after listening to this track. 3. Dear Mom is another legendary SNSD song, hard to resist tears when listening to it :\ 4. I guess sometimes you take the good with the bad. It has to happen sometime somewhere and Destiny fills that bottom spot of SNSD's list of songs I enjoy. Too much editing, too much falsetto. More of a fault of production than actual lack of singing prowess, honestly. If there's anything I can take away form this song, it's the bridge. The bridge hit jackpot for me, the rest is pretty much forgettable. 5. Let's Talk About Love is a perfect song to end the album. After taking you from the highs of Gee and Way To Go and dropping you into the pool of tears that is Dear Mom then making you scratch your head with Destiny, they dish out a mid-tempo track that doesn't overwhelm you with messy arrangements but instead soothes you with its encouraging lyrics, leaving you feeling warm inside and before you know it, you're taken back into the clouds of Gee. They did something a lot of idol groups these days fail to do: make a legit mini album. With the exception of Dear Mom (which was put in for sentiment's sake), this mini album actually surprised me by following a consistent theme: about love and that significant other in one's life. Just for that reason and the fact that Gee will remain untouchable with its crown as the K-pop song of the decade, this album gets 10 out of 10. |

I had always liked Dear. Mom, so when I needed more purchases to get YesAsia's free shipping, I thought, why not get this mini-album? I'm so glad I did. 1. Gee THE song of K-Pop. Enough said. 2. Way To Go Definitely a great and fun song to perk your mood up when one's feeling down! Loving the slight rock element of the song. 3. Dear. Mom Have always had a soft spot for this song and it's one of my favourite song of Soshi. Emotional, sentimental, touching.. all the makings of an awesome ballad, especially one dedicated to moms. 4. Destiny Had never heard of it before I got the album, but I totally liking it! Sounds different from other songs from the girls and I wonder why they haven't sang it live before. A real gem! 5. Let's Talk About LOVE A light but catchy song that goes well with a good afternoon tea. Something great to listen to when you're just chilling out. I didn't expect the photo booklet to have so many pages, so it's definitely a bonus. Can't believe how much they have grown from the refreshing Gee days to fierceeee queens nowadays. :) |

I bought this a year ago but I was too lazy to write a review, so here is the lazy review! My first Girls' Generation purchase couldn't be more worth it! Track One - Gee Once upon a time a song in 2009 made history. The End. Track Two - Way To Go A really fun and upbeat track that you may find familar with as it's the full version of Girls' Generation and TVXQ's "Haptic Motion". Track Three - Dear. Mom This ballad was really moving, I really think it really hit home for Tiffany because it talked about how much a daughter feels about her mum but unable to tell her. Track Four - Destiny A track that I didn't really pay attention to but I liked it. Track Five - Let's Talk About Love A cute and girly number, catchy too! Really pleased with the packaging! The girls looked really fresh, beautiful and natural in this photo booklet! Overall, it's worth every penny! It wasn't number one hit of 2009 for no reason, because Gee fever will always be around! |

The hit song Gee never ever gets old!! This album is probably the best one overall. The mini photobook inside it has the most gorgeous pictures ever!! I think I'm going to buy a second copy and not open it just to keep it. The second song Way To Go is pretty sweet and I bet the concert version of it will rock more!! I think snsd should do more pop rock songs~~ The third song Dear Mom is dedicated to all of snsd's moms but especially Tiffany's mom who passed away when Tiffany was little. Every time I listen to the song it reminds me of my own mom and how much she loves me...off topic. The fourth song "Destiny" is like a classic kpop song with upbeat rhythm and catchy sounds. The last song "Let's Talk About Love"'s pretty awesome and the song is meant to be sang to a girl, like "Etude" in Genie. It's another must get if you're a sone. |

If you're young, old middle aged...whatever!! if you know about kpop YOU have to know this song!! January 2009 SNSD infected the world with something called the Gee craze!! undeniably catchy, cute and just fun. staying an outstanding 9 weeks on the number one spot on K-chart these girls have proven themselves once again, this song is just good to resist!!! And know we go to track 2 (way to go) agreta pop rock song that will put you in a good mood that perfect song to go after gee Dear mom is the serious ballad in the mini if your a soshi fan you may know that tiffany lost her mom and this song is about her mom, its touching ballad. Defiantly one of the highlights of this album. the album goes along with beautiful 44 page photobook with gorgeous natural looking photos This is the perfect album to start your soshi craze! |

This is the album that starts many things! 'Gee' mini album is undoubtedly one of the biggest kpop hit in 2009 and having been following the girls since their early days i have to admit that this album is a turning point in their career. After receiving the CD, i was satisfied with the album jacket as the photoshoots defines the girls as sweet, pure and slightly sexy girls. My eyes goes to Tiffany's great shoots! I wish there were more songs in this album. The tracks might be those of sugary-saccharine kpop beats but it is still pleasant to listen to. My personal recommendation is the title song 'Gee', 'him nae' and 'dear.mom'. Gee has an addictive beat and insteresting dance while Him Nae is a song that are meant to give strength to people. The latter is pretty much a longer version to SNSD's old CF song, Haptic motion. Dear.mom which is written by Ivy is an interesting one too! Listen to this album and you will find yourselves slightly drawn to this 9 SM Entertainment's pearls. |

I was so excited to buy this mini album because Gee was the song that really got me into kpop, so I'm kinda sentimental about it. ^^ When I received it, I was suprised by how many pages the photobook is and how cute the cover was. :) There were more photos than expected, and all are really nice. So pretty. ~~~ The songs themselves are all amazing. They don't, of course, measure up to Gee but they are all really nice. Especially Dear Mom. :) All in all, I definitely recommend this mini album for any kpop fan, and especially any SONE. Great purchase. ^_^ |

One of SNSD best hits of 2009. Winning 9 consecutive awards for Gee alone, and 8 awards in the end of the years award, shows that the new rookie groups are dealing with a tough competition. Gee is a great, addicting, high strung, fast tempo song sung by SNSD and written by E-TRIBE. The album overall was well organized, and it pays off because the girls were coming back from a 9 month hiatus. This shook the kpop scene completly and not one person can deny that SNSD rose up to a high status of popularity because of this album. The songs and album pictures were simple and cute. a look SNSD does the best. I'm satisfied with this album. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. |

Gee must be one of the best and most catchy pop songs I've heard for years and it's the song that got me interested in kpop. But the best thing about this mini-album is their image. It's perfectly balanced between cuteness and sexiness. The photo booklet is so great!! This must be some of the best pictures of Girls' Generation I have seen so far! Gee is so good that the other songs may seem "bad" at first, but they are not! They are great too. I must admit that their Genie mini-album has a better collection of songs in total but still: Gee fantastic and the photo booklet is great so that's why I really recommend this for everyone! |
