Well Done! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This album is fantastic and truly expresses So Nyeo Shi Dae's energy, youthfulness, and charm.

The digipak casing is beautifully made with a glass tray. The booklet included is filled with the girls' gorgeous pictures which I'm sure you've all seen over the net.

The music itself has top-notch vocals -- after all, this is what the groups' main forte is but the song styles will not appeal to some. I for one, love the compositions, composed mainly of mid-tempo pop tracks, soft ballads, and dance numbers. Definitely a good set and fantastic first effort from the nine young ladies. I truly see a great future for So Nyeo Shi Dae and what a way to kick start it with an awesome album!

like it says, a girl's album.. Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
it's catchy, poppy, and fun to listen to... and just that. there's no real apparent level of depth to any of the songs. that being said, the record does a real good job of representing the youthfulness and pep of this 9 girl band. The faster songs, including the title track, benefit from some well layered studio mixes (thanks to fan favorite Kenzie). Even the ballads are sung beyond expectations, most likely from the full sound generated by the large number of girls.

Girls Generation has had a lot of publicity, both bad and good, due to their relations with the extremely popular male bands of SM and also due to the massive pr campaign that SM has been promoting them with. It's proved extremely lucrative and putting forth all 9 girls as an eclectic "dream team" of today's Korean teenager. While none will deny their spunky, attractive personalities, some may dispute their level of talent and shall we say, "natural beauty?"

Regardless, this record does a fine job with what it's got: 4 decent singers (Taeyeon, the 19 year old "leader" of the group is actually very very talented; she is the one that often carries the ballads into a decent territory.) and an array of backup singers/dancers pleasing to the eye.

Girls Generation Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Many artist has fangirls and many artist has anti's. If you want to know if you really enjoy an album you have to forget about what everyone says because it's their judgement and not your own. So the only way you would know if you wanna buy this album is by listening to it yourself. Bubblegum pop is the genre that people around the net are calling it. That just gives you an idea to what kind of style these songs are. Even for a group that has suffered through many events before their debut they still managed to pull off a great image for themselves by the music that they provided throughout this album. Try it, you never know what lies beneath that album cover.

Great Overall Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
If you are having doubts about these girls because of the not-so-great sales for their debut single, REMEBER THAT THEY HAD A HUGE PACK OF ANTI-FANS AT THAT TIME!! These cuties are gaining fans real fast. THEY WILL GROW ON YOU. It's a really great album, the songs are good and the girls are cuter than ever. Personally, I think that 13 bucks for 11 sweet tracks is a real bargain. The title song Girls Generation is energetic and catchy like the songs from their debut single. They did really good on the ballads as well, the harmony, the sweet voices, yum..my personal favourite would be 7989, but then again I'm biased towards Tae Yeon (7989 is her duet with Kangta by the way). Anyhow, it is definitely worth buying, it includes two songs from their single as well: "Into the New World" and "Perfect For You", however the latter is renamed as "Honey" on this album for some reason. SO MY POINT IS: BUY IT THE GIRLS ARE GREAT!
