Although I Am Not a Die-Hard Girls' Generation fan or Even a Big One at that, When I Saw this Album on Sale for $4.99 USD - I Honestly Couldn't Resist. I Ordered this Album on August 2nd and Received it basically 2weeks later, on August 16th; Which is around when I was expecting it; So Shipping was Completely Fine. It was Wrapped neatly in Two Pockets of Bubble Wrap fitted inside a Bubble Wrapped Envelope. There were no rips in the booklet but one corner of the booklet happened to be bent (This is easy to fix). After Opening the Booklet you are Greeted by Numerous Pictures of the Girls dressed if their "Oh!" outfits, which happen to be Colourful and Cute ^-^ On Each Page as well as pictures there is a "Thanks To" from each Member. The Last Page is a Foldout Picture of all the girl's together and is also where the CD is placed between to slits, holding it in place. With this album I received a Free Photocard of Sunny (: The Songs on this Album Represent a Cute and Outgoing Side of Girls' Generation. Though right now I May not be the biggest fan, I'm Sure Growing to Love these Idols. Glad I Made this Purchase, the Price Also Raised $20.00 after I bought it too ;) So I Got a Deal, Lucky Me. |

well... i don't get why there are people saying " i don't get why people are saying ' how great is this album' " i personally think this is a great album to have, and although i like Gee and Genie a lot, i would still say this is an even better album. maybe its because of the number of songs that made this appeal to more variety of preference, but it definitely made me like it a lot. my personal favorite songs for this album are Oh!, Show Show Show, Forever and Star Star Star(no.8)... not to say Gee and Genie which are 2 of my all time favorites :D, others are also good to listen too... i also find the songs of this album really suits each of my different moods, being happy or hyper? listen to no.1 no.2 no11. no12??? emo-ing??? no.8??? wanna cheer yourself up, no.5??? XD best song in this album???? Oh! or Star Star Star, can't decide between the both... >.< overall, this is a really good album, definitely worth buying.... |

Like Super junior, I tend to like SNSD's hit singles rather than the rest of their songs on their albums and I don't think it's a lack of talent, it's more of my personal music preference. So, I will admit that I DEFINITELY like this album better than their previous ones. I love how it includes Gee and Genie because I didn't buy the mini albums in order to wait for the full album with both songs on it. I also think that the promotional single Oh! is just as catchy as their previous top 3 singles. Their sound stays consistent which is a plus for them. On the album, I found that I actually liked some of the non-promotional songs a lot more than I have have in their past work." Show! Show! Show!" is a very catchy retro dance number and "Byeol! Byeol! Byeol!" is a gorgeous ballad that once you listen to it can't keep off repeat. Everything else got a 3/5 simple because of personal music preference. So it you like SNSD's overall sound, I suggest giving this a spin for yourself. ^_^ |

Honestly, I wasn't too fond of the tracks on their previous albums and Oh! as a title song disappointed me. BUT I ending up liking this album! Everything about this album is so sweet and happy, I love it when they sing songs like these. The packaging is cool, it's like a book. It has so many pretty pics of the girls. The photo card I got was of Sunny! The only criticism I could give is that the album seems a little rushed. I wish they would've focused more on quality then getting the album out quicker - the concept and title song seems a little old for them considering they did Genie before this. There's only 9 new tracks although I liked that they put Gee, Genie and Day by Day on this. My faves: Show! x3, Boys & Girls, Day by Day, Talk to Me Star Star Star - Best ballad I've heard from them in a while. I love how the melody flows and the lyrics are so cute, the emotions were conveyed well. I even love Yoona's narration in the beginning. |

Better Than Genie And Gee

Okay so first off, I see that many people are reviewing just the title songs. Which is a sore mistake because the whole point of writing reviews are to convince people whether or not to buy the ALBUM as a whole. And so, in that perspective, this album is better than what both Genie and Gee had to offer. Both those mini-albums had nice, addicting title tracks; however the rest of the songs were always FILLER. Minus maybe, Etude. The same is not for this album. Standout tracks include: Be Happy, Girls & Boys, Byul Byul Byul, & Oh! Be Happy: Definitely a title-worthy song, more so (in my opinion) than Show x3. It's really uptempo, and has an extremely addicting melody. EXTREMELY. 5/5 Girls & Boys: Old school mixed with new school mixed with some fierce singing from the girls. Really, my favorite track on this album, it gets my head nodding every single time. A BANGER 6/5 Byul Byul Byul: Although you could argue that this messes with the flow of the album, it really doesn't. The track that precedes it (I believe it's a duet between Sic and Fany) is a nice anime-esque song that makes you reminisce. Then Byul x3 arrives with all its splendor and grace, a lovely ballad. 5/5 Oh!: My only real gripe with this song is during the verses where they "rap/speak". It really kills me. However, the rest of the song is so good and the melody sublime, so I give it a 4.75/5 The rest of the album fits in well too. All in all, well worth a buy. |

Since I am neither a SNSD fan or a hater, I will give this album an objective review. SNSD reviews have been really biased towards either "loving this album!" to "I hate this album!" but not entirely focusing on the music but just SNSD as a whole. However, this will be different. I don't really know the reason why I bought this album, I guess I needed the $13 to qualify for free shipping, plus, I really did enjoy "Gee" as that is the song that got me to listen to SNSD on and off. "Genie" was a pretty good follow-up song to "Gee," but in my opinion, not as good as "Gee." Then I guess SM saw the success of SNSD by using the cute concept, they proceed with "Oh!" which, I would rank this #3 out of the last three promo songs from the group. However, comparing the three songs to the rest of the songs in Girls' Generation's second album, the only songs that stood out to me was "Star Star Star" (maybe that's the reason that's their second promo song from the album). The rest of the song did not show any growth from their first album, not that SNSD is to blame, more like the songwriters who decided to have SNSD sing all "cutesy" songs. It is not just one cutesy song, but almost 90% of the songs on this album is the cheerleader type of cutesy songs. I wouldn't consider "Gee" that much of a cutesy song because it did sound unique and "Genie" was definitely not a cute song, more like a "sexy concept" song. Anyway, the main problem I have with this album is the lack of difference between the songs. The songwriters did not let the girls sing a variety of different songs; it's all about the happy would-be cheerful songs (well, most of the faster songs, that is). The songs didn't allow the girls to show their vocals skills. Although I have to agree that songs like "Oh!" and "Show Show Show" are addictive, taking the album as a whole, this is not SNSD's best work. I hope the songwriters would write a variety of different songs for their next comeback. |

As soon as it came in, the first thing I did was not looking at the pictures, but I immediately put in the CD into my laptop to listen to the music. I thought it was going to be as good as Genie and Gee, but boy was I wrong. The music is not catchy, it's more of what I would call weird. Star Star Star is a good song, but it does not show the vocals to the fullest, therefore, I don't like it. - - Though this CD does have Gee and Genie, I would still give it a 0 because of the songs. |

The first Kpop album I bought was this album, and I don't regret any seconds of it. I mean how could you? The album offers a wide variety of style and keeps you entertain throughout, very solid. From ballads (star star star and forever) to upbeat (oh, Show Show show, Be Happy) to mellow and chilled (coffee caramel, Day by Day) just naming a few. My favorite would have to be Star Star Star, you can hear the emotions they were trying to portrayed, and I think that's what makes them an awesome group. THey have spent a lot of time preparing for this, and I think that every Sone will enjoy as much as I did. This IS GG NOW~~~ FTW! :) |

I already listened to all of the songs and I gotta say they are really good. Star Star Star, Forever are the 2 best ballad songs I've ever listened to. Oh!, SHow SHow Show and Be Happy give me more energy when I listen to them. They are cheerful and full of energetic. Boys and Girls, Sweet Talking Baby and Talk To Me are pleasing to listen to also. I'm fine with Gee, Genie, Day By Day and Stick Wit U. Overall the album is worth my money. Can't wait to get my hands on the album =) SNSD ftw!!! |

Wad Andy said about Genie and Gee repeated is not because SM Entertainment want earn more money, they can not include those 2 songs and people will still buy this album. The 2 songs was added because both of the songs are from previous MINI album and not an OFFICIAL album. This is an OFFICIAL 2nd Album,so songs from mini album can be added. From what Andy said,I can assume that he is not fond of SNSD that is why he criticized the album, but please get your facts right, they don't need to add those 2 songs so people will buy it,SNSD are already famous for your information, people buy this album for the other songs like Oh! because it is addicting.Gee and Genie are just a bonus. |
